Crazy Idea From the Left: Every Eligible Voter Should Vote

I don't know they got such a notion, but the left wants all voters to decide who gets elected. If they would just think about it they would see it will bring disaster to our great country. Here are the facts:

1.) Retired people don't like to drive to the polls. They will vote if it is by mail. They are free loaders and what more of my money. Don't allow vote by mail.

2.) Day labor, data entry jobs and other low paying jobs cannot get paid time off to vote. They have to vote after work. They vote for Democrats. Close the polls earlier.

3.) Management level jobs allow time off to vote. They vote Republican. Open polls only during working hours.

4.) People without much money often are hustling to a dollar and forget it is election day. They vote for Democrats. Allow only one day for voting and only a few hours and more Republicans will win.

Increasing the good voters, decreasing the bad is how we can Make America Great Again.

Additionally there are places where voting is compulsory. Proponents agree that fines should be imposed for not turning up (at any polling station, where ballots are available for all regions whether you're at home or not) OK, not a lot———but would you?

In Texas the Democratic State senators have all fled to prevent the people's elected representative body from having quorum and changing voting rules designed to combat voter fraud. They are showing up in Washington DC and making a song-and-dance about a federal govt bill to allow illegals to vote legally. What's next? Maybe all the other State senators go to DC and beg for Illegal Jose Biden to intervene? This is heading towards part II of the battle for States rights.

Thank you for the good wisdom, Dr. Toole. The left threatens the democracy of our country. States should decide who votes and what they vote for. For example, states have done a great job of carving up House districts so only Republicans are elected. Republican politicians in states know who votes in Presidential elections and how to keep bad voters away from the polls. Where the polls are located and when they are open will help.

We don't need, for example, polling places in neighborhoods where Democrats live and work.

Our founders knew how to do it. Land owning males only. If you're too poor to own land you're too dumb to know whats best for our country.

It's a shame to see how far America has strayed from its original values.

Thank you for your extremely helpful map, Sister Mitza. I note that one of the countries with compulsory voting and "costly" sanctions is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. (Please observe the word "Democrat" in there.) Their system is summed up as follows:

Only one candidate appears on each ballot. Elections are ostensibly conducted by secret ballot, and a voter may cross off the candidate's name to vote against them, but must do so by crossing out the name without secrecy. Voting is mandatory and turnout is habitually near 100%.

A voter may cross off the candidate's name to vote against him or her, but must do so in a separate booth without any secrecy–an act of defiance that many North Korean defectors have claimed is too risky to even attempt. In recent elections there have been separate boxes for "no" votes. Voting against the official candidate, or refusing to vote at all, is considered an act of treason, and those who do face the loss of their jobs and housing, along with extra surveillance.

There doesn't seem to be any option to write in and vote for an alternative. The gooks can only vote for the candidate, or vote against him. If the latter, There Will Be Consequences!

Now, we True Christians™ can handle the persecution - it's what we do every day - and those of us who are mothers of many might welcome the loss of our jobs. But I think it is pretty clear what the Demoncrats have in mind. Just imagine if the only name on the ballot were - say - that of the perfectly ghastly Clinton woman, or the weirdo Karamella. Whoever next - Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sparkle??? The prospect of being governed by post-menopausal females is just too daunting.

One thing often overlooked: the many examples from history. When a government is co-opted to serve an individual, asset stripping although certain is the least of your concerns. Pu Yi, the Xuantong Emperor of China, had exactly this problem. Rather than rely on this emperor's magnanimity, staff at the Palace of Established Happiness spared Pu Yi the awkwardness of importunate payroll demands by looting the place. Let's face it, just to get the job they had to emasculate themselves in the most thorough manner; what might happen if they asked for a pay rise is best not even contemplated. So a satisfactory arrangement, all in all. But the eunuchs had reckoned without mad Scotsmen being on the scene.

Reginald [Johnston, Pu Yi's Scottish tutor] received death threats, quite serious ones, and of course he had this running battle with the eunuchs, and he finally persuaded Pu Yi in 1923 that they should do an inventory in the Palace of Established Happiness which was one of the most important treasuries in the Forbidden City. The evening before they were due to go in on the 27th June the palace was burned down. Johnston was convinced that the eunuchs started that, and it caused enormous damage. This will be in the minds of looters and burners everywhere. Perhaps in the heat of the moment history is forgotten but when making policy decisions, such as this thread addresses, the many examples from history should not be overlooked.
