    Re: CHRISTIAN VOTERS GUIDE 2012

    Hello together

I can not start a new topic. So, I have to post my question here, as it will hopefully also influence your view in politics.

What do you all think about the recent attacks on Christians in Iraq? Many have been driven out to Turkey. During the time of Saddam, such did not happen. No matter, what a fierce dictator he was - other religions and denominations had their place in Iraq and were not persecuted in such amounts.
Could it be, that the involvement of USA has (unwillingly) helped religious perties within Iraq and caused that mess?

Because God gave us laws and commandments, not suggestions.

Because we don't want our children steered from Christianity and toward perversion and sin, which leads them to an eternity in God's Lake of Fire.

our atheist forefathers feared as much
Could you list, specifically, which forefathers were atheists, along with your references? To my knowledge, not a single one was atheist, but I'd be happy to be corrected.

regardless of what you think about an issue such as.. lets say (gambling prostitution or drug use) do you not think that it should be up to the specific person engaging in these acts?
So you think child prostitution should be legal. Interesting. Why do you think it should be OK to abuse children for your sexual pleasure? Are you a member of NAMBLA, by any chance?

it seems to me the christian right has a hate for government sponsored paternalism like federal need based aid, but loves it in the event of the drug war... I just dont understand the disconnect
That's because you don't comprehend charity. Charity is voluntary, and operates through the churches. This gives people the opportunity to learn about God when they are struggling because of their lack of faith.

Socialist wealth redistribution programs (that is, "welfare") takes churches out of the equation. Anybody can get aid, without learning a thing about God or understanding that their failings in faith are the cause of their problems.

or you dont, and you make it illegal for an place of business to be operational on a sunday....
    We're working on that.

i am not condoning any of the aforementioned activities, I am just saying I have enough common sense to not partake or at least partake in moderation... And im nobodys daddy so I could careless what they do...
You are indeed condoning them. You're saying they should be legal. And that you only gamble, solicit prostitutes, and do drugs in moderation.

Maybe if you were somebody's daddy, you'd care about your little boy getting hooked on meth and then hired out as a sex toy for bareback sex with AIDS-ridden junkies.
rather than jamming the bible down peoples throat through the democratic process, why dont you allow people to do what they will?
I answered this at the beginning of this post. Please pay attention.

Really dude, you went from a secularist collage professor outraged over religion in politics to a Christian dominionist in space of one post. You want to cut the charade? Chumps like you are a dime a dozen here.

The clue for you kid is we come across as some kind of joke to you because you know absolutely nothing.

Basement dwelling kid... Haha sure buddy, sorry if my touchscreen Internet vernacular seems immature

But really you seem to be the one that has no idea what he's talking about considering you just shoved off the question and then followed with some typical intolerant rant, oh and on the other hand in another post you seem to represent nazi germany as an example of atheism gone wrong, when infact the bible was the moral code and was legislated as such. Facism is infact the most extreme right wing government model and it is completely inaccurate to imply a link between godlessness and it. And I top of all this there is plenty of anti Semitic and racial supremacy arguments around this forum so it almost seems that you are in agreeable with the most questionable practices of your self defined atheistnazifantasticsciencebash...

Oh and little old me... Not liking the democratic process
I just don't understand why special interest groups as yourselves wouldn't want MINIMAL federal based biblical legislation and MAXIMAL local legislation

Seriously, I agree with pretty much all of Rick santo rum and mitt Romneys moral stances, It just seems to me that the federal government should not make decisions of legality based on biblical moral code when NOONE ELSES FREEWILL IS AFFECTED... Ergo obviously abortion does not fall in this category since it eliminates the will of the baby/fetus/embryo or whatever word the libs try to use in order to dehumanized the situation

Honestly Im just Wondering what the thought process is of socially conservative legislation being implemented at the federal level... I feel that there will be more backlash that will in turn negatively impact the cause

Perhaps you should address that question to Liberty University, down the road from you in Lynchburg. If they don't do how about Pat Robertson? If he isn't good enough for you try Rick Sanatorium (you know, the guy who almost was nominated by the GOP for the presidency).

Seriously, I am getting sick and tired of clueless, basement dwelling kids like you who spend all their time playing computer games who come in and scream "this can't be real, you're joking" when if anything Landover is more than a bit moderate for modern American conservatives.

Funny you should mention the normal democratic process. We're on the brink of something great.

Once President Romney drops his ridiculous Mormon act and starts the process of instituting good Godly values into the legal system as promised so we have Christianity setting the moral compass...

Well let's just say that a few changes will happen and all this sinning will be properly punished.

Betcha a dollar you'll be not such a big fan of the democratic process then, my little friend.

Godly points Jeb, one just has to look at the news to see how much Santorum coverage there is. Clearly Santroum is hot, on the move and in touch with the base! Hope Santorum smothers that socialist loser Mitten.

Don't take your eyes off Sarah Palin. That girl calls a spade a spade and I won't be surprised if she's the VP choice again this year, no matter who get's the GOP nod. Nope, I wouldn't.

“We’re a very pro-military state up here. We recognize what it is that our men and women sacrifice for all of us to keep us secure. And at this point, we’re watching Obama with his naïve apologies to savages in Afghanistan who turn around and kill our soldiers,” she said, in an apparent reference to the president’s recent apology to Afghan President Hamid Karzai for the unintentional burnings of Qurans at a U.S. military base in Afghanistan."

You're right; The jack-booted Obama thugs are constantly trying to take down God's favorite church.

Why wouldn't it be when the GOP's values and ours so closely align?
