I'm going to support Palin, but by US Constitution, I don't think she can change what people teach in schools, that power goes to individual states, and the US Constitution separates church and state, but there's no good reason for it, and the reason it's there is because the Whigs who wrote it weren't true christians, and they were being controlled by the devil.

Well, at least she's a Republican. But the problem is that she's a woman. The Bible says specifically that 1 Corinthians 11:3 says, "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." Therefore, how could a woman be the head of a nation filled with men? That's simply ungodly and against God's plan. Also 1 Timothy 2:12 says, "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." She would be taking on a man's job; that would be usurping men's authority as she tries to teach and lead the nation. That leads me to my next point -- that women were deceived first, as seen in 1 Timothy 2:14 "And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression."

Also, she's a woman and has unclean times. How could our nation run if it was led by a president who was unable to work about 85 days of the year since she is unclean, as said in Leviticus 15:19, "And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even." That's almost 3 months!!! Essentially, good, hardworking men like my husband would be paying taxes (we are taxed enough already1!) for a woman's salary that she wasn't earning. Besides, women are supposed to stay home, as Proveerbs 14:1 says, "Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands." She can't be building her house if she's "leading" the country (not that she is even qualified, being a woman....).

As Romney heads to Israel, new poll shows Jewish Americans favor Obama



(CNN) – On the eve of Mitt Romney's overseas visit to Israel, a new poll released Friday indicates Jewish Americans favor the president over Mitt Romney by a solid margin.

According to the Gallup survey, 68% of Jewish Americans back President Barack Obama, while 25% support the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

The numbers follow what some have called a politically timed signing of the U.S.-Israeli security act by the president declaring support for the country before Romney's visit to the Jewish state. Obama signed the bill passed by Congress pledging $70 million to increase U.S. security ties with Israel.

Romney's visit to Israel is part of a three-country foreign policy swing that will take the former Massachusetts governor from London to Tel Aviv on Saturday, then to Poland next week. The Republican candidate is expected to promote a strong alliance between Israel and the United States while meeting with top Israeli officials.

According to the poll, Romney's meetings with Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, could garner more support from Republicans who are more in favor of both the prime minister and Israel than independents and Democrats.

But Jewish Americans tend to be Democratic voters and, as the polling suggests, while Republicans seem to have a more favorable view of Israel than Democrats, Jewish voters will most likely remain aligned to the president.

Obama topped Republican Sen. John McCain in 2008 among registered Jewish American voters, 78% to McCain's 21%, according to the National Jewish Democratic Council.

The Jewish electorate is one of the most dependable in the U.S. with 80% of eligible voters showing up at the polls for the last election. Turnout among all eligible voters in 2008 was 57%. And while Jews make up only 2% of the population they comprise 4% of the electorate.

Romney may be looking for a more media friendly visit following a slew of negative headlines in London responding to an NBC interview in which the presumptive GOP nominee said the preparation for the Olympic Games were 'disconcerting.'

Romney has said that he will not discuss American foreign policy on foreign soil characterizing this trip as an opportunity to "listen and learn." But that didn't stop him from criticizing the president on American soil prior to jumping the pond.

In an interview with the Jewish newspaper, Hayom, following a speech at the Veterans of Foreign Wars convention in Reno on Tuesday, Romney blasted Obama's handling of Israel, saying the president has bruised the country's ties with the Jewish state and instead offered his own course of action should he become president.

"I would treat Israel like the friend and ally it is," Romney said in an interview, which was not published until Friday.

Romney renewed criticism of the president for comments Obama made at the United Nations in 2009. At the time, Obama criticized Israel on the issue of settlements, taking a similar position as his predecessor's administration: "We continue to call on Palestinians to end incitement against Israel, and we continue to emphasize that America does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements."

In the interview, Romney said: "I cannot imagine going to the United Nations, as Obama did, and criticizing Israel in front of the world. You don't criticize your allies in public to achieve the applause of your foes."

The Gallup poll was conducted from July 9-12 with a random sample of 1,014 adults aged 18 and older living in the United States. The sampling error is plus or minus four percentage points.

I agree that sara Palin has a lot of beauty and very little sense, things I do like in a woman. However, those are not good attributes in a president. I would like to see here in a poresidential video though.

That's a good issue. Now there is some kind of freedom for - I wouldn't say 'extremists' - but at least islamic and politically active people to mess up the country. And the danger is, that this can also happen in Lybia and Egypt and Syria (after a possible overthow of the president).
So, US-government is not always doing good things for their own Christians friends abroad. G.W. Bush, who claimed to be the best Christian, caused the worst mess around with his myth of an islamic enemy of the Western hemisphere.

I can not start a new topic. So, I have to post my question here, as it will hopefully also influence your view in politics.

What do you all think about the recent attacks on Christians in Iraq? Many have been driven out to Turkey. During the time of Saddam, such did not happen. No matter, what a fierce dictator he was - other religions and denominations had their place in Iraq and were not persecuted in such amounts.
Could it be, that the involvement of USA has (unwillingly) helped religious perties within Iraq and caused that mess?

On the American Family Association's website, Bryan Fischer says that the only thing that kept Iraq functioning under Saddam Hussein was support from Jesus, and the Christians who ran the Ba'athist government. Saddam Hussien "needed Christians to help him run the country. Christians were the only decent, trustworthy, honest people he could find."
