    Has GWB Abandoned Jesus?

I don't know what to say or think about THIS story.

Bible probably not true, says George Bush

US President George W Bush has said that the Bible is "probably not" literally true and that a belief that God created the world is compatible with the theory of evolution.

"I think you can have both," Mr Bush, who leaves office January 20, told ABC television, adding "You're getting me way out of my lane here. I'm just a simple president."

But "evolution is an interesting subject. I happen to believe that evolution doesn't fully explain the mystery of life," said the president, an outspoken Christian who often invokes God in his speeches.

"I think that God created the Earth, created the world; I think the creation of the world is so mysterious it requires something as large as an almighty and I don't think it's incompatible with the scientific proof that there is evolution," he told ABC television.

Asked whether the Bible was literally true, Mr Bush replied: "Probably not. No, I'm not a literalist, but I think you can learn a lot from it."

"The important lesson is 'God sent a son,'" he said.

    Say it ain't so, George!
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

I'm not convinced he actually said any of this. A man of George's obvious intellect would never say something so obviously absurd. As Sarah Palin would say, it's another example of "gotcha journalism"--taking something he said and portraying it as something that he actually meant. It's irresponsible journalism and I won't stand for it.

Brother, you may well be on to something there. No even marginally Biblically literate person would say this:

Even Christmas-and-Easter nominal Christians know that Jesus is not a son, but the only begotten Son of the Father. I'm sure even Brother Stewart could explain the difference.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. Re: Has Jesus Abandonded GWB?

                I wept.

Now, I must prepare a sermon for my flock on Sunday.

So far, I've received over 100 calls from members of my congregation, distraught over the revelation that GW Bush doesn't believe in the Bible.

What do I say? That he tricked us all? I've just been letting the voice mail take them!

Any suggestions, Brothers (and Sisters)? Attack Bush, or forgive him, or . . . ?

I just don't know what to think! Must pray on this.
                Bible boring? Nonsense!

                    <snap>

I just understood what the "Walker" bit stands for.

He walked out on us Friends.

                    He simply walked away.

                    He just... walked away!!!!!

Look. I never trusted the guy in the first place, to be honest! A drunken frat "Skull & Bones" bozo who only got there because of his daddy! I bet Ronald® would turn in his grave.

This does not bode well. But... at least the KJV predicted that this would happen! Glory!

                    Leviticus 26:21
And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.

                    J'accuse! George "Walker" Bush!

So, besides Obamba, what will be the other six plagues the US will have to endure?

I'm an optimist, but I'll try to help you out here. If things continue like this, the entire mainland will run out of water by 2011, so hydorelectric power will stop. Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, half of Texas, most of California, the corn belt and pretty much everything south of Canuckistan will turn to sand dunes. Millions of people will die, their bones poking out of the sand in tribute to GWBush.

It will belatedly occur to Congress that Canuckistan pre-stole our water, and we will have to invade to get it back. That will take about an hour.

Then we will simply move our southern border up around Dakota and leave the sand dunes to the South American commies.
