Sponsors of the California ballot measure that banned same-sex marriage are seeking to nullify thousands of marriages between gay and lesbian couples performed after the state Supreme Court ruled them constitutional.
The sponsors Friday filed responses to three anti-Proposition 8 lawsuits with the state Supreme Court. The briefs also defend Proposition 8 against opponents' legal challenges, including an argument that the amendment needed a constitutional convention to be added to the state's constitution.
"We are confident that the will of the voters and Proposition 8 will ultimately be upheld,"
"Proposition 8's brevity is matched by its clarity," one of the briefs read. "There are no conditional clauses, exceptions, exemptions, or exclusions: 'Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California.'
" ... Its plain language encompasses both pre-existing and later-created same-sex (and polygamous) marriages, whether performed in California or elsewhere. With crystal clarity, it declares that they are not valid or recognized in California."
Proposition 8 supporters also announced the addition of Kenneth Starr to their legal team. Starr will serve as lead counsel and argue their case to the Supreme Court.

Not necessarily. I am not only attracted to my same sex. Gender has nothing to do with attraction, it's about the person they are inside. in my opinion. Because that's the only thing that matters. But, yes, I am attracted to my same sex at times.

Look, I don't know anything about your personal life. But if you do have someone, or once have... you loved them for who they were, right? I really don't expect you to try to see things through the eyes of a homosexual... but don't you think it makes even just a little bit of sense for somebody to love someone for who they are inside, despite what gender they may be? I hope all CA fag and dyke "marriages" will be anulled as well as Proposition 8 passed by major votes of CA citizens.I would be glad to celebrate when this filthy dyke Ellen DeGeneres(Degenerate) will get her annulment to dyke Rossi.Fags and dykes must be also denied from so-called domestic partnership unions.There are many needy straight families in CA and the elderly who can't afford to pay for medicine.The tax payers money must aid those truly needy people,but not those filthy natural brute beasts.

Actually, no, not really. I think it takes a lot of open mindedness for it to be a choice. People are born homosexual, so you can take that up with God if you wish. But I'm just saying I can even be attracted to a transgender or something. I don't limit myself to one sex, or even two. When growing up, children pretty much just assume they're attracted to the opposite sex because that's just how it is, ya know? Quite a while after I realized I was also attracted to girls, I came to the conlusion that I can love anybody, no matter what their sex is.
