Obamantra: I Screwed Up
In a move not expected until after the so-called “honeymoon period”, President Obama revealed his Administration’s new motto: “I screwed up”.
Expect to hear it frequently!
In sharp contrast to decisive and confident former President Bush, known for his excellent decision-making and firm resolve once he announced a position, new President Obama announced today — less than three weeks into his new administration — that he has “screwed up” by appointing not one, but three Emocrats who have dodged paying their fair share.
Why, according to his own administration position, Obama has been appointing unpatriotic people — some would say traitors — left and right!
When asked by Kate Snow in an ABC interview in September whether people earning more than $250,000 would pay more in taxes under the Obama administration, VP Joe Biden famously replied, “”You got it. It’s time to be patriotic, Kate. Time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help America out of the rut . . .”
Looks like Tom Daschle, who could have been Health and Human Services secretary, isn’t patriotic. Nancy Killefer, who thought herself destined to fill the new role of “Chief Performance Officer” (whatever that is), couldn’t be bothered fulfilling her duty to the nation, either. Timothy Geitner, Treasury Secretary, hasn’t given up his office yet, but it seems he hates America, too.
Why didn’t this come out in the infamous Obama cabinet questionnaire? Did these “best and brightest” lie about their tax obligations? Did Obama simply not vet them at all? Or is it simply that they were the least America-hating of the Democrats available? Who was worse?
He married a woman ashamed of America, and now he’s appointing men to high office who hate America. They refuse to do their patriotic duty and obey the law.
Obama screwed up? He sure did!
