This whole kerfuffle about the Haitians eating pets comes down to the facts. I'm sure it's a fact that JD heard from constituents that pets went missing and these same constituents have heard that Haitians back on the island ate dogs when starving. So, it's a fact JD heard this. He has reported this in the press.

Then we get to law enforcement. Officials claim they have received no calls the Haitians are eating dogs and cats and there is no evidence they are doing this. We have to remember these so-called law enforcement officials so not want bad publicity for their city. These complaints no doubt came in but they were never reported. These are the facts.

The officials are probably so worried about bomb threats and such that they don't want to release all the photographic evidence from phone cameras and home security systems that I can only imagine have been submitted to them.

After all, in this day and age with so many video recording devices in so many hands, there should be some visual proof of Haitians skulking around people's yards snatching up household pets. I have personally seen videos of people rescuing their pets from predatory birds.

It just doesn't seem reasonable that that some social media platform isn't streaming actual footage of cat-snatching and dognapping. The only explanation is the police are suppressing the evidence.

Mr. Vance is really bearing down on this story. Today he has come out with the irrefutable logic that the media bears responsibility for making sure his stories are true.

JD Vance defended his comments about Haitian immigrants eating pets during a Tuesday rally, saying that “the media has a responsibility to fact-check” stories – not him.

He also warned Karamala Harris, Joe Biden, the Democrats and the media to stop reporting on things Donald Trump says.

“The American media, the Democrats, the Kamala Harris campaign, they’ve gotta cut this crap out or they’re gonna get somebody killed,” said Vance, alleging that Democrats, who have highlighted Trump’s authoritarian rhetoric and attempts to overturn the 2020 election, are to blame for the two apparent assassination attempts that Trump has faced so far during his 2024 campaign.

Sounds like some 2nd Amendment people may be required.

By campaigning against him, they have shown how faithless they are in their reputed service to America.

I lost a dog once. I drove to see the Grand Canyon and tied it to the bumper of my truck. When I drove back to the hotel later that evening the dog wasn't there. I swear there were Mexicans serving "food" that was probably my dog.
