  • A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats Never Was True

One great accomplishment of President Trump is to get rid of that old notion that when another is helped, the benefits return to the helper. The President is clear that the world is a tough place and that success comes only from taking from others and keeping the spoils.

Only he recognizes that international trade is about one thing, besting other countries. When they sell to us we pay little. When we sell to them they pay dearly. The same with immigrants. Yes, immigrants provide us cheap labor that keeps prices down. But the immigrants also benefit by living in a better country than the one they left. Immigrants need to pay us plenty for the privilege of living here. Women want equal opportunity. Had over the cash, women.

The same is true for all groups that did not support the President. It is nonsense to now offer the hand of friendship or turn the other cheek. Now is the time to get even.

In Trump, we have abandoned our civil religion — and we are no longer the same
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Yes, indeed, Brother Mayor. A rising tide will lift a big boat; but sometimes little, (read: weak and poor) boats get swamped. That's just how it is with the tides-- which God Almighty Himself created. We can't blame either Him or Trump if the small and weak get swept away by the grand prosperity that The Lord has chosen to rain upon Trump and his circle.

Absolutely spot on analysis, Brothers and Sisters. On the other hand "trickle down" economics is proven to work. Look at history - the Indian race was trickled all over by the British Empire. The no dot Indians were trickled over too - by the same people. King George III even trickled on the Greatest Country That Ever Existed and made us what we are today.

The Titanic is a metaphor for economic classes. That ship is the poor. Tides rise but it sits there where it belongs, on the bottom.

As we Republicans have proved over and over, the way to raise the tide is to lift the biggest boats up out of the water first. Then the waste water from the big boats will trickle down to all the rest.

Correct, Brother DNow, along with nutrient rich effluent and valuable spilt diesel oil.

The rich really do keep giving and giving while never receiving an iota of credit.
