To give everyone freedom of religion would have many people end up dead, without giving everyone that freedom it would protect more people.Originally posted by WilliamJenningsBryan View PostThere is no stopping Jesus when He says it is time for your daughter to go to her greater reward.
The court's decision is definitely unconstitutional – we are guaranteed freedom of religion.

Slamonking, I'm sorry to see that you believe that a man with what you describe as "noble intentions" should be in prison simply for being incorrect. Isn't that a rather harsh stance to take?Originally posted by salmonking51 View PostHe deserves to be in prison. He could have prevented his daughters death. I'm sure he had noble intentions but they were false.
If I were to see that you were in a car accident and that your heart had stopped, and I tried to give you CPR but failed in my efforts, would you want me to go to prison, too?
Mr. Neumann's only crime was his lack of faith. How do we know Neumann lacked faith? Allow me to explain:Jesus promised in the Bible that He would do anything the faithful asked. Now, the fact that Neumann doubted God is ample reason for him to be condemned by God to an eternity of torture in Hell! But it is no reason for him to be sent to prison. At least, not under current US law.
Neumann asked Jesus to heal his daughter.
Jesus did not heal Kara Neumann.
Therefore, Neumann clearly had lingering doubts about whether or not Jesus would heal Kara.

I don't blame Dale Neumann for not taking his daughter to see a doctor. Even death is better than exposing her to the evils of socialized medicine that Obama is forcing down our throats!

One moment, young sir. If God says your time is up, that is it! Regardless of what MIGHT have happened to the daughter, it was clear that she was to die that day - God ordained it and nothing anyone can do could change that.Originally posted by salmonking51 View Post[...]He could have prevented his daughters death. Re: Freedom for Dale Neumann!!!
I don't follow you. Why should he go to prison when he loved his daughter tremendously and never wanted to harm her? He loved her so much he prayed for her to get better. It was God's will that she should not be healed. Why is he being punished because of God's decision?Originally posted by salmonking51 View PostHe deserves to be in prison. Freedom for Dale Neumann!!!
Dale Neumann found guilty - A Wisconsin man who prayed for his daughter instead of getting her medical help was convicted Saturday of second-degree reckless homicide.
Dale R. Neumann, 47, was found guilty by a Marathon County jury in the death of Madeline Kara Neumann, 11, who died Easter Sunday 2008 of untreated diabetes, WKOW-TV, Wausau, reported. The Marathon County jury, sitting in Wausau, deliberated more than 15 hours during two days before returning the verdict.
Neumann's wife, Leilani Neumann, 41, was convicted May 22. Each faces up to 25 years in prison.
Prosecutors said the parents did not take their daughter to a doctor when she became ill, even when her breathing became labored and she could not talk, eat or drink.
In testimony at the trial, doctors said Kara, as the girl was known, died from complications of undiagnosed diabetes and could have been saved if she had been given fluids and insulin, the Wausau Daily Herald reported.
Defense attorney Jay Kronenwetter had argued that Dale Neumann did what he believed was best for his daughter, praying for her "because he believed that was what would save his daughter."
Bad laws are the worst sort of tyranny.
