The only people who want a longer lifespan are unrepentant sinners, because they know when they die the party is over. As a saved Christian, I know that when I die, that's when the party will start.

Just to introduce myself to your community, I am a man with a strong faith in my lord and savior Jesus Christ. Now, I think you really need to think through some of the things that you're saying. First of all, the federal government already controls almost all of the things you're saying Obama shouldn't be able to control. In this thread, at various point you ask for Obama to keep his hands off of Interstate Highways, the Postal Service, the Centers for Disease Control, Social Security, and Medicare. The government already runs all of those programs. And furthermore, you need to review what socialism is. I know that you were probably all raised in an age where socialists were the enemy, but the fact is that socialism is simply a distribution of benefits by the federal government among all peoples. WHAT DO YOU THINK MEDICARE IS? Obama is not forcing anyone into any plan! You can keep your plan and it won't affect you. He is simply advocating a system that will keep costs low and allow people without health insurance to attain it. And no, there are no death panels.
You really need to look back at the bible. Jesus didn't advocate that the absurdly rich should get richer. He advocated for those without means or voice, and those are the people who suffer every day because they don't have healthcare. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

That's just like saying you can keep the car you have if you like it. Then Obama nationalizes a car company and subsidizes it with public money so that it can sell cars cheaper than other car companies. Soon all other car companies will go out of business and all you have left is government ownership of the automobile industry, which is communism in anyone's book.

No "Death Panels" you say? Just look at the "Cash for Clunkers" program – crushing and destroying perfectly good cars that are only a few years old. It's only a matter of time before Obama will be offering cash incentives to turn your grandmother over to the FEMA death camps.
