That's right, the Royal Ontario Museum, a dignified structure built in 1914, has been infected by Canadianism.

The "Crystal", a disturbing, tumor-like steel and glass growth, has been slowly spreading and engulfing portions of the nearly century-old Museum.
"It looks rather like something out of Star Wars," opined local resident Samuel Hill. "Much as I like science fiction, I'm not sure Toronto needs its own Death Star."
Visiting scholar Patricia Harris reacted with alarm. "Goodness! It just looks so . . . so evil! I'd be afraid to bring my children here!"
Her husband, minister Daniel L. Harris, patted her hand. "Don't worry, dear. Our faith in Jesus will protect us from this abomination." Harris raised his fist and shook it at the structure, crying, "Mark my words! From Hell you came, to Hell you shall return!"
Architecture and planning pundit James Kunstler, equally disturbed by the design's imposition upon the Neo-Classical structure, questioned the logic behind its construction. "Why is this sort of thing acceptable to the Guardians of Culture? The answer may be that it sends a truthful but subliminal message that the mis-use of technology has become the fatal disease of civilization."
A sobering thought, indeed.
