If Ron Paul becomes president, the feds will be out of our schools and the local school boards back in charge. Imagine how we change education for the better with us sitting on those boards!

I was interviewed on C-SPAN's morning "Washington Journal," and I used the opportunity, as I do all such media appearances, to point out how many of our liberties have been stolen by the federal government. We must take them back. The Constitution, after all, has a very limited role for Washington, D.C.

If we stuck to the Constitution as written, we would have: no federal meddling in our schools; no Federal Reserve; no U.S. membership in the UN; no gun control; and no foreign aid. We would have no welfare for big corporations, or the "poor"no Nafta, Gatt, or "fast-track"; no arrogant federal judges usurping states rights; no attacks on private property; and no income tax

Hmmm. He sounds promising, but I see no mention of Jesus. Where does he stand on turning America back into the Christian nation our founders intended us to be?

I agree, Sister M&M. I will hold my support until I feel assured that Ron Paul would support LBC parochial schools across the country.

PS What is his stance on corporal punishment?

Well if he says the government will stay out of the school boards, then he supports whatever they do including spanking. And let's people worship they way they want, even those brach davidians.

Oh, I'm afraid his economic talk may have blinded you, Brother Eliot. He's obviously a filthy lieberal. Letting people worship the way they want? How about making them worship the way GOD wants? Oh dear. If this man becomes president, I can just see mudslimeism, joodayism, and even the religion of atheism spreading like a virus throughout our land!

Well see there's the rub. Keeping the government out of schools is fine and dandy if the government means the bull-dyke tag-team of Cliton/Peloskivich. What we True Christians want is a government that uses the Holy KJV1611 Bible as its one and only set of laws, and then aggressively crams that robust support into all schools across God's chosen country; America. We don't need some Librariantarian offering support to every false Christian crackpot like David Koresch, just because he wants to be contrary.

This guy Ron Paul sounds like he has things a bit bass ackwards. Plus he has two first names, which makes me suspicious.

But, We have to obey seccular law, the less seccular law, the more we are free to follow the bible. No income tax to pay for abortions and sex education and books like "Steve has Two Dads" .

You do have a valid point there, Sister. Just look at what has happened in Iraqistan, we gave them democracy and they voted to have Sharia law become the law of the land. As long as the Mooselimb menace is alive in the world I would more trust GWB (and maybe to be succeeded by his brother Jeb) to run our great nation. A Bush dynasty would certainly be preferable to an Ayatollah.

Obviously, Dick Cheney is the only rational choice for President in '08. He has the experience, the excellent reputation for honesty, a completely unblemished record of selfless public service, and a wonderful wife. I envision a Draft Cheney movement blossoming any day now. The only question is who would be his running mate. Right now, I'm hoping that John Ashcroft will come out of retirement to issue more terror alert warnings. Failing that, here is my short list:
