Good advice Brother V, and if you're using 9" nails, either use the oval ones with the grain or drill pilot holes (sixteenth inch should do it).

(Just to remind everyone, that it was not necessary for the Romans to drill pilot hole in Jesus's hands and feet - but they could be called "Pilate" holes!)

    You are a moron.

Have you ever tried to put nails through an aluminum bat?

When you put the first nail into it, the bat loses all of its structural integrity. It'd won't improve with more nails, if anything, it'll get worse. one whack with the bat (if you were even able to swing it) and the thing would shatter in your hands.

Don't get me started on if it's a double walled.

Additionally, modern metal bats are very thin, so the nails would do even more damage.

Aluminum bats by themselves have a slight trampoline effect, which would cause greater damage when making impact than a wooden one.

If you are going to ruin the bat's impacting power, then don't use aluminum, use a wooden bat. With the nails, you aren't going for the "pop" that the bat would provide, you are mostly going for the piercing power of the nails.

    moron.

Good points Wash. Everyone knows the pressures on the professional news pundit. That's why they are considered some of the hardest working men in America. Sure anyone can go down in a coal mine for fifteen hours a day by how many have what it takes to make a hour our radio show, day after day?

Drug use is just a sad fact of life then.

Look, when Rush was using these substances they weren't banned by the National Pundit Association of America. Rush just wanted to be the best and taking substances like Oxycontin gives a pundit that extra edge to give it their best.

If you're going to throw Rush under the bus because he popped a few pills then you're going to have to do the same to me. It's no secret that I once had an addiction to huffing anti-freeze. Yea, that's right-- anti-freeze. I couldn't make it through a day without getting fried on that stuff. I was living my life just for that next huff. Why did I do it? You try coming up with the material for a largely improvised three hour radio show (subtract 2 hours for commercials) that plays on the third most listened to Conservative channel in all of South Eastern Iowa and maybe then you'll understand the pressure that us pundits go through.

And don't for a second think that we are taking these substances for our enjoyment. These drugs all have serious side effects, but we accept that burden if it makes us better pundits. I have it on good authority that the pundit-enhancing substances Glenn Beck takes on a daily basis cause him to weep uncontrollably and look like a total pussy all the time.

In conclusion, if you're going to blame Rush for taking pundit-enhancing substances then you're going to have to blame every pundit in the media for the same thing because we all do it. But maybe you should take a step back and reflect on the fact that while we're all taking mind-altering substances so we can endure having to live with ourselves and put on our shows every day, and that at any given moment the pundit on any political television or radio show is whacked out of their mind: taking mind-altering substances yourselves has actually been shown to enhance the listening and watching experience of those shows for the viewers.

Do not blame Rush, blame his doctor for giving him hard drugs and getting him addicted. Then to make matters even worse he cut him off with a oxycontin monkey on his back.

Why the anger, buddy? Just because Rush Limbaugh makes more in an afternoon than you'll make in your entire life? Just because Rush Limbaugh has more power than all of your unsaved ancestors all added together?

For his use of performance enhancing steroids baseball star Joese Canseco received an asterisk besides his name on the Baseball Hall of Fame to note he basically cheated. Clearly there is a desire to see a "clean" performance from athletes and the same maybe true of personalities.

So the question is; Should Rush Limbaugh have an asterisk next to his name in the Conservative Hall of fame for his Oxycontin use? While there is no question Rush is a sincere patriot up there with our countries founding fathers like Ronald Regan, Goldwater and Strom Thurmond his use of drugs to enhance his radio performances has to be noted.

How much did Rush's Oxycontin addiction help him focus his conservative ideology and suppress any liberal tendencies. After all other conservative pundits like give their radio discourses clean and sober (in Glen "The Professors" Beck's case he overcame years of drug abuse before taking up defending America) They've had to fight the good fight without help. Shouldn't that be considered?

    What do you think?
