Why God Favors President Bush

As many of you know, our Godly President Bush recently vetoed the SCHIP (State Children's Health Insurance) reauthorization bill. LIEberals are screaming that Bush hates kids, and yadda yadda.

Here's what they didn't tell us taxpayers.

1) The Dental and Mental Health lobby got their agendas attached to the bill.

2) Parents who make up to 83k would be eligible to enroll their kids into the program.

3) Over half the states allow adults to enroll in the SCHIP program.

4) Their proposed 60 billion would in fact cost over 300 billion over the five year period.

Why does this affect you? Because smokers, and taxpayers would have to front the bill. Well, the supposed .61 cent tax increase on tobacco would have covered about 30 billion.

There were many other reasons to veto this bill, but God didn't allow the Demoncrat controlled Congress to override his decision. Praise!!!

When I first heard of the SCHIP, I heard it as "S-Chip" and assumed that Congress was going to mandate putting chips into TV sets to filter out sinful programming. I was shocked to learn that instead of doing something useful like that, Congress instead wanted to pass socialized medicine. God told us how to take care of sick people:

James 5:14-16: Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Does that sound like a taxpayer-funded health program to you? It doesn't to me either. Big government needs to butt out, except to increase funding for faith-based initiatives so that we can follow the Bible instead of liberal do-gooding.

If we're going to raise taxes on smokers, it should be for something important, not to coddle lower middle class parents that are too stupid to make enough money to pay for health insurance. Think how many more weapons systems General Electric, Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, General Dynamics, and United Technologies could manufacture with $30 billion more next year.... Think of the companies that are washing our troops' laundry, trucking in gasoline to Iraq, and protecting our diplomats from the Iraqi people, like Bechtel and Halliburton. Think of the jobs that could be created, not just in the defense industry, but in the for-profit health care industry taking care of all those wonderful smokers. And think of the profits on the 486,000 stock options in Halliburton that Our Vice Commander in Chief will reap!

One thing is certain, if the mooselimbs have their way we will all be dead and there won't be any need for health care. Our Godly President GWB has his priorities straight, that money needs to go toward the war and killing mooselimbs.
