Indeed, Brother Nobar, I think what you mentioned (which I shall not repeat) was definitely what the Special Snowflakes would call a trigger warning. My husband checked it out for me and strongly advised me to leave the room immediately. Well, I say advised. Instructed is perhaps more accurate.
Sister Handy, you are such a very sensitive soul and I think it's high time we made a concerted effort to find you a husband so that you can avoid these mistakes. I am only sorry that my own boys are still too young for the job.

Thank you for understanding, Sister Joanna. I really did think that since the Lord had trusted me with one of those--you know, parts, that I could also be trusted to read the article, unscathed, as it were. But you bring up an interesting point. The Lord really hasn't trusted any woman with her--you know, parts And that is why we are required to obey our fathers and husbands. It is they who should in charge of our--you know, parts.

And since their authority clearly supersedes ours in all things, it is their place to suggest that links to those sorts of stories belong in the men's only forum. As a woman, I should not even think about instructing a man in any regard. I 'm not even sure that women should be legally allowed to demonstrate the use of cooking products on television in case a man is watching!

Sister, I absolutely agree, but we are probably both wrong and so I hesitate to even ask my husband about this. Perhaps we just need to be more sensitive to the subtleties of Brother Nobar's posts?

You are so right. How could I have been so wrong about being so wrong? Praise Jesus for being so forgiving.

President Trump is leading the charge to shut down the Smithsonian. As the New York Post is bravely reporting, the Smithsonian is promoting communism. It helps Communists to display artifacts showing our Founding Fathers had slaves. Teaching the public that the North prevailed over the South's slavery tells less knowledgeable people there was something wrong with the South. Slaves made the Founding Fathers wealthy so they had time to become heroes of our Christian nation.

Miranda Devine: The Smithsonian reeks of communist ideologies that our Founding Fathers would be ashamed of

..the Smithsonian’s woke Secretary Lonnie Bunch sent curators onto the streets to collect trash left behind by arsonists, vandals, looters and useful idiots as “historical artifacts that need to be collected and saved for posterity,” according to the Heritage Foundation..
Collecting detritus is one thing, spewed forth by arsonists, vandals, looters and idiots. The streets probably needed tidying up after them, sure. I doubt that a piece of washing machine or half an incinerated hoodie really counts as historical, though. Maybe to a future archaeologist? Say in the year 4103? But this is not the only trash being preserved – and whether or not a broken crack pipe would interest the future Professor Zplootz-alpha and therefore needs preservation, other objects, representing actual ideas, themselves preserve those ideas.

Zplootz-alpha: ‘‘Oh look! A small glass object which appears to be broken!’’
(intern) Gigi: ‘‘What's that white stuff in it?’’.
Zplootz-alpha: ‘‘I'll test it & make some for for analysis this evening.’’.
(intern) Gigi: ‘‘Can you tell how old it is?’’.
Zplootz-alpha: ‘‘Yes [messes around a bit] it is 2,077 years old.’’.
(intern) Gigi:‘‘Wow! How did you do that?’’ [flutters eyelids].
Zplootz-alpha: ‘‘I'll tell you later. Right now I need to get this synthesis done.’’.
(intern) Gigi: ‘‘Sure. About eleven then?’’.
                Zplootz-alpha: ‘‘Yes.’’.

Nothing there represents an idea. There's a substance, a test, a synthesis and a meeting later. A few years ago, as a gift, I received one of these:

Illuminated planet set to hang from ceiling.
Has remote control dimmer for each planet.

The idea here is that "Earth" is just another planet that's been around for billions of years, comprising dusts of various types ejected from preexisting stars when they exploded after several billion years irradiating the void for no reason. Clearly under this paradigm, Gigi may conclude (after nightly testing episodes of Prof. Zplootz-alpha's synthetic powder in the year 4103) there is no need for any God, especially one so ignorant of what it's supposed to have created.

These objects represent ideas, in this case ideas directly contradicting God to ruin eternity forever, in way a hoodie fragment or charred shoe soles do not. As such, the planet ceiling sets are a form of trash that really does need eradication. I destroyed mine but it stank in the fire and filled the place up with smoke. No doubt booby-trapped by the evolutionists. Of course, I can see that a charred sole may suggest the idea that people wear shoes (if that is an idea, which I doubt) but according to the Smithsonian paradigm, by 4103 Zplootz-alpha and Gigi will probably have flippers and not even know what a foot is!

This is where rejecting God and following imaginative museum curators, exemplified throughout the thread, lands you up at the end of the day. I am happy to support Landover's campaign in this respect because Jesus is returning soon and there will never be a year 4103.

                In Christ.

Well said, Sister Mitza. To think archeologists dug up trash dumps of people who supposedly lived here long ago and then displayed the trash in the Smithsonian is why it needs to be shut down. The Bible tells us all we need to know about earlier societies. There were the Jews and Jesus whipped them in the Temple. A few are still around and we know they killed Jesus. We don't need to know more.

The more I hear about this "Smithsonian" the more it seems to represent the deluded faith of science. And we need to include anthropological sciences here: digging physical things up: regarding societies clearly fitting God's description of abominable as somehow equivalent (I suppose they're equivalent to one another so there's that) and this planet stuff. Is there anything they won't exhibit to diss God?

Rewriting settled history, redefining what constitutes art, the Hitler "portrait" in Post #6 being especially repellent, even contradicting eyewitness testimony pick your century any century you like! who have it down in black & white? These attempts to white-ant a culture have outcomes where least expected, very often. And what happens next? That's the bit they never thought about at all.

That's powerful, Sister Mitza. When scripture from both the Old and New Testament say the same thing, we know God is all in. Places like the Smithsonian, science departments in all secular universities for that matter, have to stop changing things from the Truth. Mess with the Bible and you will pay.
