Well considering this country was founded on freedom of religion so America would avoid the religious turmoil that plagued Europe, your views on religion/education are not the only ones to be considered when deciding what is best for the general public. Thank goodness for popular sovereignty.

Um... you do realize that the Constitution was designed as a check AGAINST "popular sovereignty," so the great masses (who agree with us) aren't allowed (for now) to beat the crap out of you and the tiny minority of freaks like you for all you whacko lefty arty subversive unAmerican beliefs?

The First Amendment starts with a strident NEGATION of popular sovereignty -- "CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW"

If you'd LIKE popular sovereignty instead of the First Amendment, maybe that's something we could work on together!

Popular sovereignty is the belief that the legitimacy of the state is created by the will or consent of its people, who are the source of all political power. Benjamin Franklin expressed the concept when he wrote, "In free governments, the rulers are the servants and the people their superiors and sovereigns. Through voting, the majority will always rule in America. True Christians don't appear to be any majority in America these days. Except for the Tea Party. But we don't REALLY take them seriously.

So you agree that it's time that judges stopped imposing their lack of morality on everyone in America by overturning anti-abortion laws, right?

True Christians don't appear to be any majority in America these days. Except for the Tea Party. But we don't REALLY take them seriously.

I bet the Democrats who got thrown out on their collective asses in the last election take the Tea Party seriously. The Tea Party, as wonderful as it is, isn't perfect--there are too many people in that movement who want to cut and run in our Holy War against Islam. We need to keep a tight reign on them. But we're riding that movement to a Sarah Palin Presidency in 2012! It's time we had an American in the White House again.

The American government was set up to be ruled by the people through representatives we elect. If you really have a problem with the way the country is being run, be active in politics. Sitting behind a computer complaining on some website doesn't really do anything.

I agree. Mike Huckabee is now the leading GOP contender, a full 4 points ahead of "Oven" Mitt Romney and 7 points ahead of 3rd Place Palin.

I'm not surprised, really. Which would YOU rather have for President? A Godly Baptist preacher who wants to amend the Constitution to reflect God's Law, or the mother of a whore who got the slogan "Drill, baby drill" from listening outside her daughter's bedroom?
