Mike Huckabee is a Baptist Minister?

I was reading the following article:

Huckabee's decision not to run for president

...and the following paragraph jumped right out at me:

The 55-year-old Baptist minister insists that he could have captured the GOP nomination, citing polls that showed he could score strong even in the Northeast and among the less conservative rank-and-file party members.

The way I see it, Since Huckabee is NOT preaching nor pastoring a church, he is NOT a Baptist minister. He's just a Southern Baptist who might still be ordained according to the Southern Baptist Convention.

That's how I see things, but I will, of course, defer to the judgment of the Landover clergy if any of you would beg to differ.

The way I see it, Since Huckabee is NOT preaching nor pastoring a church, he is NOT a Baptist minister. He's just a Southern Baptist who might still be ordained according to the Southern Baptist Convention.

I heard a rumor that Huckabee fished for an invitation to preach at LBC. The pastors turned him down. He is just too liberal.

I've seen him go up to the microphone to give a speech and not give even a small prayer before beginning. I just don't think he is Christian enough to be our President.

There are two things I will never forgive him for:

(a) never serving in the US military, and

(b) sharing the same hometown as Slick "Willie" Clinton



His Fox News affiliation almost makes up for that.

This is the first I've heard of The Huck not running!

He was going to make every teenager listen to David Barton's Christian Nation history lessons, at gunpoint if needed!

He was going to bring the Constitution in line with God's Law!

Now who will I support?
