Many Christians proclaim that the United States was formed entirely based on Biblical values and morals.
I would say that this is only partially true.
Sadly, the founding fathers (led by a rabid Christian-hating Thomas Jefferson), watered down GOD's plans for the United States and incorporated a lot of silly liberal ideas into the framework of our country.
How then could we ever hope to establish a theocracy?
We couldn't.
Former Attorney General John Ashcroft's immortal words "America has no king but JESUS," will sadly never ring true until liberalism has been extinguished.
Fortunately for us, there is a political party in this nation today who is very open-minded towards the idea of experimenting with the Bill of Rights, mainly by seeing how much of it they can override with the Holy Bible.
I and most conservative Republicans will agree that the founders got some things right, such as slavery, subjugation of women, and right to bear arms.
Where does the Bible say not to establish a national religion?
The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD. - Psalms 146:10
But where in the Bible does one find the principals of freedom of speech?
Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. - Ephesians 5:4
Where in the Bible does it say the people have a right to petition the government for a redress of grievances?
Do all things without complaining and disputing, - Philippians 2:14
Whosoever he be that doth rebel against thy commandment, and will not hearken unto thy words in all that thou commandest him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage. - Joshua 1:18
Where is it found in the Bible that we are innocent until proven guilty?
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; - Romans 3:23
Does the Bible ever mention a right to privacy?
Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. - Psalms 139:12
Can you point to a verse that provides protection against self-incrimination, double-jeopardy, or prohibition of cruel and unusual punishments? (A concept specifically designed to thwart stoning of sinners on American soil.)
Of course not. These concepts do not exist in the Bible because they are the product of secularist liberal thinking.
The next time somebody asks you if the United States is founded on Biblical values, here's the answer:
NOT NEARLY BIBLICAL ENOUGH!
