Church or jail! Good Job Judge, or not.

BAY MINETTE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say non-violent offenders in southern Alabama will have a new choice: Go to jail, or go to church every Sunday for a year.
WKRG-TV reports that Operation Restore Our Community begins next week.
The city judge in Bay Minette will let misdemeanor offenders choose to work off their sentences in jail and pay a fine; or go to church every Sunday for a year.
If offenders select church, they'll be allowed to pick the place of worship but must check in weekly with the pastor and police.
If the one-year church attendance program is completed, the offender's case will be dismissed.
Bay Minette Police Chief Mike Rowland says the program could change the lives of people heading down the wrong path. So far, 56 churches are participating.

At first this seems like a good idea, but a closer look shows these convicts can choose which church! It should be a True Christian(tm) church or jail!
    Matthew:
5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled
10:21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.
10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Would these churches in question be allowed to restrain these criminals? Stocks at the back of the room is the first thing that comes to my mind!
Remember sodomy is a criminal offense and I will not have my family sharing our pew with rump wranglers. The thought of them soiling the seats with their AIDS leaking through their orange jump suits just plain scares me...and don't get me started about them druggies and what they might get up to with their constant masturbating.

Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

This could actually be used as a litmus test of their repentance: depending on what they choose, you could adjust the outcome accordingly.

        - chooses an Independent Baptist church: one year of Sunday services.

        - chooses a Methodist church: 1 year added to the original prison sentence.

        - chooses a Lutheran church: 5 years added to original sentence.

        - chooses Catholic church: 20 years added to original sentence, chemical castration (or the old-fashioned kind).

        - chooses Mooslim terrorist church: firing squad.

        Yours in Christ,

I was able to read an article about this issue, please allow me to share ot here. The last week of Sept in one small Alabama community suggests the kickoff of a brand new plan - Operation Restore Our Community. In the little community of Bay Minette, misdemeanor offenders will be given an option of penalty. Offenders are given the choice to attend one of about 56 churches for a full year of Sundays. Otherwise, they need to pay a fine and go to jail. Article source: Alabama court offers church in place of jail. For me it's not a bad idea for those non-violent offenders to be given a choice for punishment.

There is one thing that the True law-abiding, Christians in Alabama need to consider: Over half of the prison population in Alabama consists of dirty, God hating, drug using, nigras. Would you want them hanging around your innocent children during Sunday school service?

If the city of Bay Minette is allowed to dump the failures of their Godless system on the God-fearing folks in Alabama...other states are sure to follow suit. What's next? Use a gun, go to...church?
Jeremiah 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

So you think it's okay to allow sinning law-breakers to choose their punishments? God does not allow them to choose their punishment, now does He?

2 Thessalonians 1:9 "Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;"

Matthew 25:46 " And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal."

God allows us to choose between punishment and reward, just as law-breakers are allowed to choose between obeying the law or committing a crime. But the method of punishment is not a choice.
