    Callista Gingrich, a Plain Jane Iowa Girl

    Being in politics, as I am, I feel a special kinship to people who are cast into this arena before being prepared.

    Callista Gingrich is such a person. Callista grew up here in the midwest, not really so far from Freehold, Whitehall, Wisconsin. As a young girl, she did the right thing, she came to Iowa.

    She studied at Luther College in Decorah, IA, northeast of Freehold. She really has never left Iowa and retains Iowa values to this day.

    I'm not actually sure of this, but I understand Newt met her when he attended a church potluck. Callista had brought her signature dish, a wonderful chicken casserole. Newt was smitten from that moment on.

    This girl, Callista, was swept off her feet by Newt and was carried from Iowa directly into the world spotlight. I am greatful to see our values reflected in this genuine country girl.

                  In that video, Callista makes reference to Newt's sister Candice. Candice is one of "those" (lesbian).

                  My guess is that Callista really does not know what (lesbian) means because she never encountered it in her wholesome rural Iowa/Wisconsin life.

                          She is beautiful, and I'm darn close to breaking a commandment whenever I see a picture of her (it a good thing the Gingrichs' don't live in Freehold ). Newt's a VERY lucky man!
