New initiative from the DoF: Citizens Liberty Squads

I have been asked to announce the newest initiative from the Department of Faith - Citizens Liberty Squads.
What is a Citizens Liberty Squad, you ask? It's where groups of freedom-minded citizens come together and patrol their local areas to help keep our country safe. If you live near either of our borders, you will be asked to keep watch to ensure that Mexican'ts and Canuckistanis don't cross illegally. If you live near one of our coasts, you will be asked to be vigilant to make sure no illegals, drug smugglers, or terrorist cells try to enter by boat. If you don't live in any of these areas, you can still patrol your towns or cities to keep an eye out for possible criminal or terrorist activity.
You do not have to register with the DoF to form a Citizens Liberty Squad, but it doesn't hurt to keep it official. There will be booklets available, but here is some advice to get you started.

• Always travel in groups of at least three.
• At least two squad members should carry a working cell phone to contact the authorities when needed.
• Cameras and notebooks are your friend. Don't be afraid to take the picture of anyone who looks suspicious, and always take copious notes. These can then be turned over to the authorities.
• Do not engage unless absolutely necessary. Even if your state allows concealed carries, only act if a crime or terrorist action is being committed.
• Recognize the enemy. Learn to distinguish between a dark tan and a dark complexion.
• Don't be afraid to actively witness for the Lord when you can't spot any suspicious activity.
• Just because someone is your friend or neighbor, it doesn't mean they're your friend. If you see a friend or neighbor engaging in suspicious activity, report them!
• Always start with a prayer circle. Jesus will keep you safe.

Special Agent Doug Spencer from the DoF will be at church this coming Sunday to bring booklets and answer any questions you may have.

Oh, dear sweet brother in Christ, you're alone down there in Australia. You'd have to be a one-man Citizen Liberty Squad, reporting everyone around you to the cut and run regime of Crocodile Kevin Rudd! When you meet up with our missionaries in July, they will update you with everything you need to know, and once more of your countrymen are Saved and a decent president is once again elected to run your government, you can start organizing Australien Liberty Squads.

Yes, but have the abos got a shekel between them? A missionary trip like this costs plenty, and the cost of fuel for the fleet of Lear jets isn't getting any cheaper.

You are our point man, brother. We're counting on you to shake down raise enough donations from the locals to cover the costs of the trip. Credit cards are probably unkown down there in Austria, so we'll make like the original Landoverians and just take the injun gold.

Citizen Liberty Squads is an excellent idea, and it's something our country lacks. People get used to the PD protecting them, and they get complacent. In fact, our country belongs to all of us, and we are all responsible for guarding and protecting it.

Video cameras are crucial in documenting suspicious activity and potential crimes. They offer so much more than just a simple photo. However, members should be sure to check their state laws about video recording in public. Most states allow video recording of anything that is in view of any public area. You can video tape a conversation or exchange without needing to inform the other party, since public speech does not fall under 'expectation of privacy'. (Pennsylvania and maybe other states have particular rules for video and audio taping.)

At the same time it is almost universally lawful to video tape inside the curtilage (yard) of a house if it is visible from the street. Even windows that are visible from the street may be videotaped, regardless of what is seen inside. However, your neighbors might not appreciate you videotaping into their windows.

Most inexpensive digital cameras are capable of video recording, so it should be easy to get incriminating evidence. Your videos can be emailed to the DOF, or, if you really want to embarass your neighbors, upload the videos to youTube.com like this guy:video vigilante.

I'd like to thank Special Agent Spencer for such a wonderful presentation today! My husband, Mr. Whitford, and I just don't want to take our armbands off! We think the logo is particularly striking, so much so I've decided to use the digital version and one of the mottos as my new signature image.
