Chick-Fil-A: Not too "CHICKEN" to Stand Up for Jesus!

The CEO of the restaurant chain Chick-fil-A has recently "come out" for Jesus Christ by triumphantly opposing the tidal waves of satanic political correctness in a redefining of marriage to include gays.

The president of Chick-fil-A, the fast food chain with more than 1,600 restaurants and $4 billion in revenue, has come out against same-sex marriage.

"I think we are inviting God's judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at him and say, 'We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage,'" Dan Cathy, the company's president and chief operating officer, said in a recent radio interview. "I pray God's mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about."
I plan to eat there a lot more often from now on.

It is comforting to know that Jesus still has a hold on the hearts and minds of big business leaders in America!

    Praise be!

But this does not make any sense. "Marriage" in terms of the government ought to be more of a civil right rather than a religious one (as per the separation between church and state). It only exists for the purposes of taxation. Since this is a civil issue, not a religious one, then it would be best to defer to civil laws and legislation, in this case The 14th amendment to the constitution provides equal protection under the law (both in federal as well as state legislation).

Marriage in regards to the religious connotation would be an agreement between a man, a woman, and God. After all the point of Matthew 22:21 would be in support of a separation of Church and state. If marriage is solely the realm of God, then government has no place in it, thus allowing for homosexuals to get "married" in the governmental definition.

While the religious can say that marriage is between a man and a woman (and would be correct), what they ought not to say would be that the state ought to control the freedoms of individuals in regards to state sanctioned marriage (again because of the separation of Church and state). The religious also have every right to claim that homosexuality is a sin, but nowhere, to my knowledge, does it say in the KJV, that marriage is not between two members of the same sex.

Do tell, how can two men "get married" when God demands that they be executed if they have relations?

If they want to have "sodomarriage" as a civil right, fine. Just don't pretend it's marriage.

This convenient infographic will show you what Biblically-sanctioned marriage is:

The only error in the infographic (and it's really a matter of semantics) is the matter of the virgin marrying the rapist. The rapist is required to marry the woman; the woman is not required to marry the rapist. The marriage is part of the rapist's punishment, and part of protection for the father of the woman, and partly protection for the woman (who is now damaged goods and undesirable).

I think that the Lord works through chickens to reach Republican voters.

        Republican voters have a special
        relationship with chickens

National war hero Colonel Sanders - whose famous statue can be found in front of every KFC - is of course a True Christian who opposes gay marriage and endorses the Republican Party in every election.

Even the Japs respect Colonel Sanders after
        he fried them at Hiroshima

When Romney gets elected, our nation will finally be able to repay its debt to the Colonel by eliminating the minimum wage for all workers in fast food restaurants. It's what Jesus would do.
        Praise Jesus!
