Obama calls for 'soul searching' after Wisconsin attack

US President Barack Obama has said "soul searching" is needed on how to reduce violence following a second mass shooting event in the US in a month.

"All of us recognise that these kinds of terrible, tragic events are happening with too much regularity for us not to do some soul searching to examine additional ways that we can reduce violence, " Mr Obama said during an unrelated bill signing on Monday.
Mr Obama has pledged to work with members of both political parties and civic organisations to reach a consensus on the matter, but has not given details.

This means we are close to the end. With Damascus falling any minute now, the anti-Christ (Obama) will rise and the destruction will begin! Stockpile weapons, put up the defenses, attack on sight. Batman outfits or towels on heads are your cue. ATTACK THEM BEFORE THEY KILL YOUR FAMILY!!!

Also, the second amendment doesn't state that the general public has the right to bear arms, it states a well-regulated MILITIA has the right to bear arms.

I consider a militia more of a military force, which differs them from the general public/average citizen, as they have combat strategy, weapon training, etc.

None of that is required of a militia per the dictionary definition, and the drafters of the Constitution overlooked specifying exactly what they considered to be a "militia".

But nobody should mind when you go forcing your personal reading onto laws, because words mean what YOU want them to mean, never mind what the dictionary says?

I'm actually a mix of the two different stances on gun regulation. I believe, just like it says, a well-regulated militia should have the right to bear arms. However, i also believe that citizens should be able to obtain arms as long as its more regulated (I'd imagine a look at his/her past, concerning firearms and weapons, if any, and a specific test to make sure the person understands how to use the weapon would suffice).

And I am not Liberal, I am Libertarian.

Also, I am not female...Yet.

Government control over who can have a gun, and some sort of nanny state "gun safety class" requirement, sounds a lot more liberal than libertarian.

But at least your criteria would allow the Batman shooter to get his weapons.

Friend, that is a communiss conspiracy plan if I ever heard one! We all know that "regulated" is eather a word for correct bowel movements or a euphemism for communissism.

So the founding fathers went to the trouble of writing an amendment, and they thought it was so important that it should be the second amendment, and that amendment is... To allow the military to have guns? Really? As opposed to what? A military with wooden swords and kitchen knives? Do you know any military in the world today that doesn't use guns?

Of course the military has guns, that is just a given. It is amazing how liberals continue to try to twist the words of the founders to fit their agenda even when it obviously makes no sense. This is about as bad as the people who say "When God says "judge thy neighbour" in Leviticus 19:15, He actually meant "don't judge others" or "When God said homosexuality is an abomination, He actually meant it was an acceptable alternative lifestyle."

If you are going to have a wrong opinion, at least take responsibility for it. Don't pretend like someone else intended it. Tactics like these show how cowardly and deceitful liberals are.

The usual road to slavery is that first they take away your guns, then they take away your property, then last of all they tell you to shut up and say you are enjoying it.
