A Modest Proposal to Avoid the Fiscal Cliff

So, pundits are all saying Congress needs to do something. If it doesn't, tax cuts expire, taxes rise and several spending cuts kick in.

Let's just deal with the facts for a change. People who voted for Obama want their taxes to go up. People who voted for Romney do not.

The simple solution is to raise taxes only on the stupid people who voted for Obama. It will keep us off the cliff and teach people if they vote stupid, they will pay.

What a great idea. A lot of people probably don't put enough time or consideration into whom they're voting for (How else could Obama be elected twice?). If you put a policy in place where people are directly affected by their votes, then it is safe to say that they'll put a lot more time and thought into whom they vote for.
