When Not to Dash the Little Ones Against the Stones

There are many Bible verses which command us to slaughter masses of children, both born and unborn. We know this is a Godly act because it is in the King James Bible. Usually, the death is to be somewhat expeditious, such as by dashing the children's heads against rocks in front of their parents, while raping the wife. This action is sanctified in Isaiah 13:16.

But Psalms 109:10 teaches us that sometimes we must punish God's enemies by simply allowing their children to die of starvation and poverty. Since we know that the Lord answers all prayers put forth by believers (Matthew 17:20), we can safely conclude that the poor are all being punished by God, and must be allowed to starve. Thus it would be inappropriate to dash their little ones' heads into the rocks in front of them, because God has made it His will to kill them slowly.

This is why we must fight Obamacare. Not to mention the economic argument, that people will be uninterested in accumulating wealth unless they are in fear of their lives.

Perhaps you can help me Billy Bob Jenkins. When reading Isaiah 13:16 I only acknowledge that what is said is what will happen by a prophet. Is the statement demanding action, or only revealing to us what shall happen?

I'm afraid not, friend. Actually, Isaiah 13 is a description of God's response to the imprecatory prayer, Psalm 137.

      Psalm 137

      King James Version (KJV)

137 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.
2 We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.
3 For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.
4 How shall we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?
5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.
6 If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.
7 Remember, O Lord, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.
8 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.
9 Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
Thus, God was petitioned by a mere mortal to allow the smiting of Babylonian babies, and God agreed.

I promise, the context of each verse is far easier to understand if you just read the whole book.

Thanks Billy Bob, your response actually a pretty good one.

I'll have to wait to go back to Psalms at a later date. I'm on my second time going through Corinthians. This week I set out to read this fine book, I have some personal issues that I believe the book of Corinthians will resolve.

I don't have a very good memory, the notes I take I rely on tremendously. I have them on Psalms, and in 137 my notes read: "I can only recall the background of outraged feeling that triggers this bloodcurling curse pronounced on their captors."

Thank you, friend. I take the Bible very seriously, because it does so much good for society.

When not to kill unborn babies, that's something to ask the atheists. Just go to the nearest Family Planning clinic and see the line of baby murderers right there. Were they instructed by a prophet? All of them? I doubt it. It makes me sick.

There's no doubt, you have personal issues. Luckily, there aren't many personal issues that you can't resolve by reading Paul's letters to the Corinthians. But remember, there are two of them, not just one--both are worth studying.

Good luck, and I'm glad to hear that you're turning to the Bible as a guide for your life!

Thank you WWJDnow for the advice. I am receiving some good information from 1 Corinthians at this time, I'm at 1:18-25 now, and doing some background history on the Greeks. Greek thought is incredible, and I'm seeing why Paul's message was foolishness to them. I'm seeing why Paul had utterly failed on Mar's Hill, when he broke the Gospel down into Philosophy in order to speak the same language to the Greeks. Simplicity seemingly is the key.

Anyways, let me refrain from side tracking this thread any more.

                Enjoy
