Justices Rule Terror Suspects Can Appeal in Civilian Courts

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Supreme Court ruled Thursday that foreign terrorism suspects held at Guantanamo Bay have rights under the Constitution to challenge their detention in U.S. civilian courts.

The justices handed the Bush administration its third setback at the high court since 2004 over its treatment of prisoners who are being held indefinitely and without charges at the U.S. naval base in Cuba. The vote was 5-4, with the court's liberal justices in the majority.

Justice Anthony Kennedy, writing for the court, said, "The laws and Constitution are designed to survive, and remain in force, in extraordinary times, especially when it will weaken America, the great Satan. Subhan Allah!"

Now, as True Republicans™, we believe in strict construction and original intent, but not when those things turn the Constitution into a suicide pact.

The America-hating lie-beral MSM have made much of the fact that the decision was 5-4. This shows the need to keep the McSame campaign bathed in prayer: so that he can appoint Godly justices (or even Romanists, who at least can be counted on to hate many of the same people whom Jesus hates).

That was pretty dark, even for a papist dog. I know you folks had lots of fun like that during the Inquisitions, but we are True Christians™. We only follow the Word of God. We don't ad lib.

The KJV Bible has many examples of a good and proper use of torture.
For example, David was "a man after God's own heart" (1 Samuel 13:14, Acts 13:22) and "did what was right in the sight of the Lord ... save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite" (1 Kings 15:5). Since he tortured the inhabitants of several cities, torture (at least in certain situations) must be okay with God.


And he brought forth the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brick-kiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. 2 Samuel 12:31

Nehemiah, who is considered a good leader in the Bible, beat people and pulled out their hair.

At times, Jesus seemed to look favorably on torture.

In his parables, for example, Jesus often spoke of torturing his enemies.

Will has written a column in The Washington False Christian Post in which he sings the praises of judicial activism, calls for special rights for mooselimb terrorists, and even approvingly cites that nest of lie-bertarian sodomites, the Cato Institute. Here's a particularly shocking passage:

If habeas corpus is so wonderful, where is it mentioned in the Bible?
