THIS has to be the craziest theory yet. The Demoncrat Party is now trying to make us believe that "global warming" (a huge lie) actually causes girls to become prostitutes. 
Congressional Democrats: Global warming turns women into prostitutes
Not content with making American’s lives miserable, Progressive Democrats now want to spread their wackadoodle ideas around the world in the name of saving women from the mythical ravages of climate change.
A resolution put forward by Rep. Barbara Lee, D-Calif., and a dozen other House Democrats claims that global warming could drive women to prostitution, The Hill reported Monday. According to Democrats, climate change will affect women worse than men and could force poor women into the sex trade.
Where to begin with this. I suppose a good place to start is with the outrageously sexist notion that women are more worthy of Big Government Solutions TM than men are. Imagine for a second the howls of protest if it were a Republican man who suggested we engage in a global political effort that only benefits other men. You can’t because that would never happen. But enough about that, here comes the sex part:
“[F]ood insecure women with limited socioeconomic resources may be vulnerable to situations such as sex work, transactional sex, and early marriage that put them at risk for HIV, STIs, unplanned pregnancy, and poor reproductive health,” the resolution says.
They left out the heartbreak of psoriasis and bad breath. Not sure how this group of women came to the conclusion that men are somehow immune from any of this but sexist Progressives don’t worry about things like that.
“My resolution will affirm the commitment to include and empower women in economic development planning and international climate change policies and practices,” Lee told The Hill. “This will help communities adapt to climate impacts, and embark on a path towards clean and sustainable development.”
Maybe things are different on the planet Congresswoman Lee lives on, but is there anywhere other than the most backward, mostly Islamist countries where women are not “empowered” to do these things already? Of course not. But this resolution isn’t targeted at them. The audience for this bit of political histrionics is American women and specifically independent women voters.
The resolution says the ability of women to adapt to climate change is “constrained by a lack of economic freedoms, property and inheritance rights, as well as access to financial resources, education, family planning and reproductive health, and new tools, equipment, and technology.”
But men facing the same constraints can adapt just fine? Gotcha. But seriously, who knew that abortion was the key to stopping Global Warming?
It calls on Congress to use “gender-specific frameworks in developing policies to address climate change” and encourages President Obama to “integrate a gender approach in all policies and programs” related to climate change.
Try to unpack that mess. What does ‘integrate a gender approach’ even mean? Still, that’s a nice mash-up of feminist-friendly buzzwords. Someone’s obviously read up on their womyn’s studies.
Climate Change and the environment is the Progressive’s god. Other than abortion, nothing is more holy and worthy of sacrifice to the modern Leftist. (Not that Progressives are willing to sacrifice anything, mind you. Suffering is for everyone else.)
Combining pseudo-intellectual babble about the environment with overwrought laments about oppressed Third World women is also a great way to deflect attention from the mess Progressive Democrats leave behind wherever they go. Democrats love to pretend they think Great Thoughts and do Great Deeds. Climate change and war on women rhetoric is nothing more than political theater.
