If the election were held today, polls show Teddy Cruz, Jeb Bush and Cris Christi would all lose to Hillary.
History has shown the majority of Americans will vote for a Republican when the right candidate runs. Even though the polling above did not include Donald, it did show his competitors cannot win. By default, he is the only one that can beat Hillary.
Donald gave a stem-winding talk to the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC). He was clever to insert into his talk something that made him stand out and receive the news coverage every candidate wants. He referred to hapless former President Jimmy Carter as "the late Jimmy Carter."
It turns of Carter is not actually dead, but when you look at him you are not certain he is alive either. Referring to him as dead gave Donald the raging bull gravitas he is so good at cultivating.
