This is an important question. If we are wearing something for the purposes of indulgence, fashion, wishing to be attractive, we are committing violence to others as we are not showing them our real selves. Yes. In my faith we are radiating our ahimsa, the non-violence, our disinterested love toweards all creatures, from within. Clothes are irrelevant but decency is still important. Yes. At least we are trying.

Halloween can be a beautiful day with the children radiating their happiness by expressing themselves in fun costumes. If can be a sad day with the children dressing up as something alien to them if they are just wanting to please the others, to belong, to be cool in front of their peers.
