    All Souls Day

This is where we remember the Poor Souls in Purgatory (those who are suffering for a time to cleanse all leftover impurities, and afterwards will go to heaven).

While the exact word "Purgatory" is nowhere mentioned in the Bible, here are several references.

1 Corinthians 3:15 (Paul mentions a place where the soul is saved "yet only as through fire")

Hebrews 12:23 (The Church of the firstborn are those who go straight to heaven, and those who go to Heaven after undergoing purgation, "the spirits of the just made perfect.")

2 Maccabees 12:46: "It is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins."

    Try to challenge THAT, heretics!
    ACTS 5:29

But Peter and the apostles said in reply, "We must obey God rather than men."
There you have it-so WHAT'S STOPPING YOU COWARDS?

What about the souls in limbo? What about all the unbaptised babies that you claim used to go to Hell, then they went to limbo, and now they go to Heaven?
2 Maccabees 12:46: "It is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins."
A quote from 2 Maccabees? There's no way I can possibly argue with that. Because, you know, that's totally a real book of the Bible and everything.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

      Purga-what now?

1 Corinthians 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

Um, how did that say anything about purgatory?

Hebrews 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,

I don't see anything about purgatory there.

      What the hell is Maccabees?

      Try again peado!

Oh, really, now? When is the last time Jack Chick claimed worldly power on the basis of that notorious forgery, the Donation of Constantine?

And while you do that, I'll celebrate the day to honor the souls of all those poor stormtroopers that died in Star Wars.

I love it when the hellbound trash rebuke one another. I can just sit back, relax, tell my wife to make me some popcorn, and enjoy the show.
