The Bible differentiates between two different types of pride. There is the quiet satisfaction of doing the Lord's work, and there is the sinful pride you are exhibiting by scoffing at somebody who has repented of their evil past and found God.

The most hateful thing that I've seen was the initial post to this. It's very obviously contrived. Realistically, if anyone put that amount of "illegal drugs" his/her system, he/she would surely be dead by the end of the day.

Is that your reason for thinking the OP is contrived? For your information, drugs have a wide array of LD50s (LD50 is the amount of the drug needed to take to kill 50% of the test subjects). It is entirely possible for a person to take illegal drugs all day and not die.

Lady, we are not hateful. You mistake our True Christian Love™ for hatred due to your lack of discernment. This is caused by the distance you place between yourself and God. In fact, we show our love for gothics and wickans and witches and warlocks when we rebuke them.

It's that kind of "tough love" which unfortunately drives people to take their own lives. I don't hate anyone, especially goths. (Oh, trust me on that one.) But I'll pray for you, friend, and will pray that your "love" doesn't cause a tragedy.

Exactly how do I do the work of Satan? By letting people live their lives? You can't proselytize people. You can't give them your "love" if they don't ask for it; in reality, that is called "harassment" and "abuse." I hope that, since you feel the right to "chastize" them, you do so in a respectful manner.

Goths - like any other people, hopefully including yourselves - can think for themselves. They are responsible for their own spiritual welfare, as everyone is. They're perfectly capable of picking up a Christian Bible. . of their choosing. REAL goths - not the variety that shop at Hot Topic - give great consideration to death and the afterlife. It's really an important aspect of goth in general.

And, actually, there are Christian goths. Even if you may or may not personally deny it, they do exist.

Before, I mentioned that goths vary from person-to-person. It's true. There are several different "types," and within those types, there are variations because no one is the same. Now, one of those types is a "Victorian goth" or "romantic goth." Most of the Victorian types are very modest in dress. Some women even refuse to wear trousers, and their skirts may not even go above the ankles.

Do outside research on goth. There are some forums for the gothic community. Look at them. None of the goths on forums are trying to defend themselves, especially by lying; they're just talking amongst themselves. (Don't troll. You yourselves ask that people don't troll you, so don't troll them. Their forums are their space.)

I realize that you're hateful. I realize that you will judge someone based on someone else's words instead of forming your own opinion. But I AM asking you, as politely as possible, to please do just that. Form your own opinion. You're all individuals who can think for yourselves. If you aren't, then I'm keeping you in my prayers. With good intent, of course.

This is my opinion, which you very well may slander and mock. (I also realize that many people here, from my own observation, reject the idea of doing to others what you would have done to you.) Like all other people, goths are varied. Some are just as hateful as these "Christians" I see here. Others are very kind people. If a goth dropped all of his or her clothing, but none of his or her principles, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between him/her or someone else, even someone on this forum. You need to judge a goth the same way you'd judge another person, by speaking to them and getting to actually know them as people.

It isn't sinful to be kind. It is sinful to say that certain people will burn in Hell. One of the tags for this topic is "Goths will burn in Hell." THAT is hate. Hate is sinful, and I am seeing a lot of hate. Such hate and lies are truly disgusting, because they turn man against man and may lead to unnecessary violence and prejudice.

Please, prove to me that there is less hate and gullability here than it seems.

For the record, I wouldn't call myself goth. I wouldn't call myself anything. I'm just a person living my life. I just don't like what some people call the "mainstream."
