Sure sounds magical to me.

It is more of a sign to the wearer, like a reminder. They don't have any special symbols on them. They are just pure white. White is the color of purity. So as long as the wearer is sinless, they can wear them. If they have committed a sin, they are not allowed to wear them. They have no special powers but serve as a reminder for the wearer. They feel different so they are constantly reminding the wearer of the things they should be doing.

Clearly, you didn't even read the entirety of the FIRST post, which states that the incident happened at the Christ on a Cross Mall in Leviticus Landing.
