Christians should not participate in Halloween!

Halloween/Samhain/ Devil's night has its roots firmly planted in paganism and is well know to be connected with worship of the Enemy of this world, Satan. The people trying to sacrifice your black cat or poison your children's Halloween candy.

It is a time that glorifies the evil things of this world, rather than the light of the One True God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Have you noticed how costumes and masks are getting more bloody, gory, and whorish each year?

Unfortunately, the gruesome and grotesque and the occult are increasingly glorified in secular society. Not only on Halloween, but throughout the year in frequent movies, tv sho-ws and video games. Like that show about Gypsies.

My family is not allowed to celebrate it or participate in it. We do not believe that our children are “missing out,” and neither do they or else.

Other days are used for costumes and parties like Jesus' birthday CHRISTmas that is purely wholesome and does not have any Pagan roots. (I dress up like Joseph. My wife as Mary.)

Thankfully we are better Christians than those who allow their children to celebrate Halloween, all of our children have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior so they don't dare to whine to be allowed to trick or treat. We have found that Halloween provides an excellent time to remind our children that, as Christians, we are better than other people, and not of this world (Heb. 11:13-16; 1 Pet. 2:9-11).

What about church “Harvest Festivals” held on October 31? We understand the rational and good intentions behind them, but you are not nearly as good as we are if you allow them, as they are rooted in paganism too!

It also assumes our children need something to take the place of Halloween, since they won’t be participating in the secular and pagan celebrations (though they totally are with a harvest festival ). It suggests our kids are missing out on something. And indeed they are, if we allow them to spend Halloween in celebration of Satan's special day!

If we are to make our children to be soldiers in the God's army, why would we sign a pass for them to go on leave when the spiritual battle is escalating and the demons are assembling on the front lines?

No, it is better to lock you and your family in their respective prayer closets and pray that Jesus will protect your house from being egged the whole night. Halloween should be a night for spiritual warfare against Satan's forces not joining in them!!
Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

Re: Christians should not participate in Halloween!

Michele Bachmann has the right idea. I'm sure her husband told her what to say, but she did a good job.

Michele Bachmann Wants to Ban Halloween Stating, “Sucking on Satan’s Candy Sacks Leads to Liberalism”

Michele Bachmann, Republican Congressional Representative to Minnesota and founder of the Tea Party Caucus, is at it again. She is calling for a ban on Halloween, stating, “This holiday is based in Satanism. It’s a Pagan ritual to worship Satan and call him forth to the earth and the liberal elites have added socialism to it. We are in the end days and we must purify our nation if we are to be welcomed into the kingdom of God.”

Perhaps Bachmann needs a history lesson. While there are some links to Celtic Festival of Samhain, which comes from the Old Irish for “summers end,” many historians also link today’s Halloween costumes to Christian dogma and practices derived from it. Halloween falls on the evening before the Christian holy days of All Hallow’s Day on Nov 1 and All Soul’s Day on November 2, giving the holiday on October 31 the name, All Hallow’s Eve. These three days are collectively refered to as Hallowmas and are a time for honoring the saints and praying for the recently departed souls who have yet to reach Heaven.

When asked for further comment, in an exclusive with Free Wood Post, Bachmann’s true fears came out.

“We have to ban Halloween to save the children. That’s how they indoctrinate them you know. Giving them Satan’s candy sacks. Soon you’ve got a country full of children sucking on Satan’s sacks and thinking liberal thoughts instead of good Christian ones.”
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

Clear cut proof this an evil holiday is mischief night where hooligans embroiled by the devil toss rolls of toilet paper in the sky. What a waste. Don't these possessed kids know it does not grow on trees?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Re: Christians should not participate in Halloween!

Last time I found out that my kids had been taking part in a Halloween party at a friends house, I waited until my kids and their friend was at my house, and I gave them all including the friend the beating of their life. They have never celebrated Halloween since.
