In Front Royal a decades-old law bans things considered "magic arts."
At a town council meeting Monday night, the passions were front and center.
Someone called this a faith war—pagans versus Christians.
Many in Front Royal say they'd pretty much forgotten about the law that bans fortune telling, Tarot card readings, or practicing magic arts.
When a Tarot card reader set up shop at the Brooklyn Marketplace on Main Street—for just one day—the manager says some people in the town threatened to boycott the other vendors if the Tarot card reader stayed.

Lord Jesus, we just come here to thank you for this opportunity to witness on Your Behalf. We just come here with like-minded True Christians™ to grovel at Your Holy Feet in the spiritual company of our Brothers and Sisters in Christ™ in Front Royal, VA. We just thank You for knowing Your Word and the importance of believing and following Your Every Word. Lord Jesus, we just want to recognize You as the Supreme Law Maker in Front Royal, in Virginia, in the United States, and in the entire world. We just come together with our heads bowed in subservience and servitude and fear and obedience as You wish. We just Plead the Blood of the Lamb over this sweet town Front Royal, and we just rebuke Satan's attempted foothold into the community, Your community, the community that exists to worship and glorify You Above All Else. We just rebuke any members of Satan's Army who would try and usurp authority from the Divine Trinity, and we just call out and evil spirits that would attempt to persuade the undecided to the Dark Side. I prophesy that the gypsies and witches will be driven out of Front Royal forever. Unfortunately, these workers of iniquity have spellbound the city council into repealing the law that barred their multitudinous sorceries from the town, so it's going to be a long and difficult struggle with the forces of Satan. Nevertheless, I assure you that the Devil WILL NOT win.

Fortune tellers are possessed by demons (well, at least the ones who are good at telling the future--a few of them are just out and out charlatans) and it is our job as Christians to free them:

In our prayers, we need to remember this is a nation of laws. We need to use these laws to outlaw sins.

The folks years ago in Front Royal, VA, put laws on the books to protect it citizens from sin. These sins included false religions and magic. Without someone to protect them, ordinary citizens might not be able to tell the difference between the fact that Jesus actually walked on water and created loaves and fishes from voodoo, Paganism and whatever else comes down the pike.

I am going into prayer, now, to keep America a nation of laws.

If they wanna keep witches out they gotta pick up horseshoes on the road and wrap them in tin foil and hang one over the door and nail another one to the bottom of their butter churn and I was told you could throw a bucket of water on a witch and she would melt and I tried that on a old lady I thought was a witch and she didn't melt and got real sore at me so maybe she wasn't a witch or maybe it don't work and I don't know if she died or not but if she did and a frog hopped in her grave while they was afilling it then she was a witch.
