Some time ago, many of us started using the term "atheistard". It does seem to suit the bulk of atheists, since they're mostly dull-witted. Atheistards include, for example, people who think Darwin explained the origins of life, or who think the age of the Earth was established by scientists through carbon-14 dating.
However, some are actually intelligent, but prefer to remain uninformed (about God/Scripture). And the less informed they are, the more arrogant they seem to become; behaving, in the colloquial, as "assholes". (Please pardon my vulgarity.

For the arrogant, educated, yet willfully and woefully ignorant atheists, I suggest "ignoranus".
