The Holy Word of God is not a book primarily for children, no. While there is mention of unicorns and giants and other wonderfully adventurous creatures, they are not the Disney creatures you might expect. Unicorns are ruthless, violent killers (Isaiah 34:7), and giants led to the first destruction of the world (Genesis 6:4-5). This is hardly the stuff of bedtime stories for children.

That's not to say this book isn't good for children. It is. They need to understand the ways in which the LORD may work (Numbers 22:27-31). They need to know the consequences of tolerating false religions (Deuteronomy 13:13-19). They need to know the importance of purity and chastity (Deuteronomy 22:20-21). They need to know what will happen to society if they allow Sodomites to continue to roam free (Romans 1:24-32). They need to know the importance of worshiping God as He commands (Exodus 31:12-15).

And that's all you're doing to these children that you force this crap onto.
