  • Examples of Good Secular Art

The question comes up as to what kind of art one can view that is not Christian. I agree we strengthen our faith be looking at depictions of the cross and Jesus. But it is also OK to enjoy quality art outside of the faith if it does not insult God.

I came across some great art recently. We all know of the wonderful Johnsonville Brats that are shipped into Iowa from Wisconsin. Processed meat is the most wonderful product that has come from capitalism. That city, Sheboygan, put up a tribute to the brat that I found stunning. Maybe others her have their own favorite secular art.

Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Indeed, I love a good bratwurst, especially if it's from Johnsonville. Sometimes I devour two or three at a time. I just can't help myself!

Roman civilization had many great leaders immortalized in statues - but ultimately they were overrun by pagan mongrel hoards and mooselimbs. Today our great American civilization is being overrun by third world Kenyan usurpers, Oprah Winfrey pagan religion, socialists, commie Democrats, Mexican mongrel hoards, and mooselimbs.

Now we have a great leader that has arisen to save our civilization, and the only ones to recognize it are living in a small Italian village in a land that was once great under Roman civilization that Jesus tried to save until the cathylicks took over for Satan.

" . . . the only politician who is following through on his promises, doing what he said on the campaign trail."

Italian village building giant marble statue of President Donald Trump
      Published February 09, 2017

Abraham Lincoln was dead 57 years before the Lincoln Memorial was constructed. George Washington had to wait 89 years after his death before his monument in Washington, DC, was finished. Thomas Jefferson had it the worst, as his memorial didn’t get built until 117 years after he passed away.

But President Donald Trump has been in office less than three weeks and already plans are being drawn up for a statue to memorialize the United States’ 45th president.

The statue will be in a tiny village in central Italy.

The mayor of Vagli di Sotto, Mario Puglia, plans to construct a big, marble statue of the sitting U.S. president in the village’s Park of Honor and Dishonor. He thinks it will be a tremendous way to attract tourists from around the globe to the Tuscan town of less than 1,000 people.

"I'm not going to enter into a discussion over whether his actions are right or wrong," Puglia told local Italian media. "But at the moment Trump is the only politician who is following through on his promises, doing what he said on the campaign trail."

Last year, the village saw over 250,000 visitors, but Puglia has yet to mention if he plans to build a wall to control the flow of people into Vagli di Sotto. Puglia added that while he would be honored if Trump made a trip to see the statue, he doubts the U.S. leader will have the time.

      . . . .

      Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
brothers, lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
      ...and get off my lawn

This piece of art is so stunning it borders on not being secular. It will be a great day in Italy when it is finally unveiled.

I love the quaint art you see in rural towns. It's just so much fun, not to mention a great advert for commercial farming and wholesome values. Fun fun fun! Why couldn't Public Picasshole or Mincing Van Coch make art like this?

If I have seen further, it is by standing on the heads of others.
