    Tree Huggers

You wouldn't believe the ungodly things I see when I take a stroll through the park each afternoon! A group of young people, quite possibly around my age, gathering around the trees singing songs about peace and nature. They play their guitars and little drums in such a sickening fashion! These people have long untied hair and flowers behind their ears. The ladies wear skirts and beads and the men are unkept and wear sandles! These people are called tree huggers, right? Should I confront them with the truth? What should I do?

Never be afraid to witness for the Lord, even when it's to a group as dangerous as hippies.

      Re: Tree Huggers

I believe you may find this classic thread by Brother Marshall quite informative.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

That thread has a more recent update:
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Wow, I am very greatful for your holy help! I am blessed that I have been educated at least enough to read these helpful threads. I definately feel more prepared in giving these Godless hippies an intervention. I will start with handing out some imformative flyers.

Go ahead. Confront them. Hippies will typically be to high to care. But at least you tried to save them from their terrible nature loving ways!

I'd tell them that 1969 called, and it wants its hairstyles, clothing, music, Patchouli, body odor, Birkenstocks, and anti-Christian God-hating attitudes back.

After the rain you can smell nothing but hippie must and patchouli in the park, most unclean. I won't take this cause lightly. Anywhere the devil works we must gather and rid the demons and their followers.

Ask those treehuggers what they think the Ark was made out of. Shittim? (Actually, it was; it's the hebrew name for Black Acacia [Exodus:25]).
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

Hmm I don't see what is wrong with long hair most people back in the past had long hair, and it was unruly usually too, not clean cut, and not brushed perfectly.

Then how did lice manage to survive the middle ages?

That is beyond the point. Haha bugs can last through many things. They can be in dirty hair but they like clean hair more. It is easier for them to move around in.
