    Who Was Cain's Wife

Just who was his wife anyway?

    Genisis
004:016 And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in
the land of Nod, on the east of Eden.

004:017 And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.Appearently she had to be his sister because there were no other humans on Earth at that time, or were there?

If it mattered, don't you think God would have written it down in the Bible?

Maybe you should start with Genesis 1.

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Adam and Eve were the first Jews, not the first humans.

How old are you that you think such a question would stump anyone? 12?

Very interesting take on that, I dont believe I've heard that one before.
So Enoch, Cain's son, who "walked with God" was half Jew and half human?

Genisis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

There is no mention of Enoch dieing. All other sons of Cain and Enoch were said to have lived such and such years, but not Enoch. Did he not die? Was he taken to Heaven bodily?

How would you know if I am a Christian or not. You are being very confrontational and useing derrogatory terms that are very insulting.

                Matthew 7 vs 1-5

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
5Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

Does your bigotry know no bounds? Jews aren't human?

This must be what Newt Gingrich called the "New Racism". I fail to see how it's different from the Old Racism of Martin Luther or Adolf Hitler, both of whom said Jews were other than human and called for their extermination.

This is not a commandment not to judge. It is a warning against hypocritical judgment . . . for example, condemning someone for adultery, while being an adulterer yourself. Jesus is stating that we will be judged by the same standards we use to judge others, so we'd better be sure of our own Salvation before worrying about someone else's.

This is one of the most intelligent, clear, perceptive posts about the Bible that I've read on this forum. I salute you, Sister Jenny. The vast majority of Christians take Jesus's words to simply mean "thou shalt not judge" but a simple understanding of the text, and Jenny's commentary, shows that it's about hypocritical judgement.

It's these faux-Christians that fall behind on this argument whenever a True Christian(tm) judges. It's their warped view as Jesus as some peace-loving, accepting-everybody Hippie that makes them think they are understanding Scripture, when in reality, it's just subjective interpretation.

Excellent biblical scholarship. I commend you.

Did you ever consider the possibility that maybe God created a wife for Cain as he did for Adam? Just because it doesn't explicitly state it in the Bible doesn't make it an impossibility you silly woman! Think about it; if God had to explain every single little insignificant detail, especially one that he had already gone through in a previous passage, don't you think that that would make the Bible almost unreadable for us insignificant humans. The Lord made us in his image, but imperfect none the less. A book that was volumes and volumes, explaining the history of the earth and the human race throughout thousands of years has to be edited down to some manageable level right? I hope I answered your question; otherwise you’re surely bound for the fiery pits of hell, no doubt about it woman!
