curry smells 24/7 from my new neighbours

I need some advice and I'm really desperate. I live in a really nice gated apartment complex with 18 units in it. It has been nice and quiet up until now, but just last month a family of Bangladeshis moved in and they cook 24/7. I know you can't ask people not to cook but the smell is now awful and the whole building now smells and I dread coming home. I started buying air fresheners to mask the curry smell, but it's not enough. I even put air fresheners in the hallway, but that didn't work, either. My neighbor Jim says he's just about had it.

There are at least eight people living in the flat, and for all I know they're running an unlicensed curried potato delivery business from their kitchen.

I don't know what to do. I feel like I have curry stuck in my nostrils all day long.

I try to keep all of the windows open, but then my apt. gets too hot without the A/C running.

What should I do? Please don't tell me to move. I'm not going thru all that trouble again, and each time someone moves in who isn't able to contain their smells or noises.

I suggest inviting them over for a nice hamburger cook out. Maneuver the topic to how offensive they are and that if it were not for their mastery of creating the Slurpee, they would still be living in that stinkhole of a Godless country. Perhaps they will move into an area full of their kind. If that fails, it is possible an accident could happen, perhaps one of those dot faced genetic miscreants could knock over your grill in the wee hours. It could happen.

Hmm... burning down the apt. would be a good way to get rid of them, but I'd have to move my stuff out and get a new place, first, so that might be kind of obvious. Plus, if I move, then I don't have to worry about curry until we let another million panel-beating Paki refugees in here.

Can't you just report them to the FBI or the CIA? They are furrin, so they must have done something wrong. Just hint that you have seen them carry explosives and a large number of belts into their appartment. Doesn't C4 smell like curry?

Have you checked your lease? There may be a no-curry clause. Try calling the landlord to complain. If enough tenants threaten to move they may evict the problem group.

Be careful not to threaten or assault the neighbors, because they'll likely get the police after you. They probably belong to multiple protected classes.

Here is a simple sauce for them to put on Pasta

This is a perfect sauce to use as a base. You can add a variety of other flavours to the finished sauce, just cooking for a few minutes to create a completely different dish. Ingredients
3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
3 x 400g cans of chopped tomatoes
¼-½ tsp dried chilli flakes
2 tsp balsamic vinegar
2 tsp sugar
1 large handful basil leaves, torn into small pieces
salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method
1. Heat the oil in a saucepan and gently cook the onion and garlic until softened. Stir in the tomatoes, chilli flakes, balsamic vinegar and sugar. Bring to a simmer and cook slowly for 45 minutes-1 hour. Stir in the basil and season with salt and pepper. This can be left chunky or blended in a food processor for a smooth sauce.
2. Serve spooned over cooked pasta.

Once they have learnt the joy of Pasta they will not be cooking so much of that curry. and they will be closer to God

It isn't just the cooking you smell, it's THEM! When curry gets into the system, the odor emanates from their bodies. Even when they bathe, which is rarely, the odor wafts from their skin.

As much as you don't want to move, I do think it's the best solution. I don't think curry smelling Bangladeshis have migrated as far as Montana, so you might want to go there.
