I trust that you do also.
Yes, yes, yes, whatever. Can anyone else understand this "gentleman?" I could only understand two or three words here and there-- everything else was just unintelligible Nigra gibberish....

Oh well. You try to be nice to the Negroes, and all you get back is sass.

Well I was out of town for a while. I went to Freehold to help Bethany and Brand move into their new home.

I do hope you're feeling well Sister Vavoline. I heard that you were hospitalized.

I was saddened to learn of Sam's death. I send along my deepest sympathy.

Miss Vavoline I can assure you that neither Iron Bone nor Hot Rod were responsible for stealing the "statuary". They were quite busy fixing what seemed to be a myriad of plumbing problems all over Freehold. I do wonder why so many spinster and widow women have so many plumbing problems. The boys told me they laid more pipe in a week in Freehold than they usually lay in a month here at home.

            They certainly are industrious!

Brother Washington, you must be so proud of your boys.

I'll bet they laid every inch of that pipe without a single leak.
