    Is dancing a sin?

About a couple of weeks ago I was dancing with this coworker I know at a dance club. I held her close, and we danced for about an hour. Now, I'm wondering if this is a sin.

Rest assured, friend, that dancing is not a sin. In fact, you should see Freehold during the annual Fall dance-off -- there's a lot of hootin' and hollerin' going on there, let me tell you! In fact, we are to dance for joy with the Lord!

Wait, you are married to this woman, correct? Otherwise, you'd better buy this young tramp a ring and counting your shekels of silver for a dowry.

That is unfortunate!! Well you'd better get on that. I suggest you also have the poor tramp get checked: she may be pregnant, in which case you are to get married as soon as is humanly possible. Dancing with the opposite when you're not married, is tantamount to the "act", and you should apologize to the Lord and tithe appropriately immediately.

Also: What were you doing at a so-called "dance club". Isn't that where homosexuals go to meet up for casual "encounters" of the filthy kind? Are you sure you're straight?

Yeah, I know I am straight. In additon, it was a dance club.

I will pray for forgiveness. And, I will have this woman take a pregnancy test. I really hope she says yes when I propose.

Dancing is OK as long as there is no physical contact and a stern chaperon present who monitors both the music and the two of you.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

Who cares whether she says yes? It's her father's decision to make, not hers.

Brothers and Sisters: We have a relatively vague desription of the "dancing."

I am very concerned about this. Think "Patrick Swayze" and his vulgar exhibition in "Dirty Dancing."

And we all know how he ended up: Enjoying the Flaming Tallywacker(tm) of Satan.
