    Help?

    As those who read my intro thread know, I'm newly converted Christian. What passages and/or chapters should I read in order to get the most out of the time I have? I've heard some places that the bible isn't in chronological order, but where do I start ...

    Also: What do I tell my atheist parents?!

      Start at Genesis 1 and read it until you're done with it.

      Christians are superior because we possess an understanding that unbelievers lack. It is through the Power of Jesus only the converted mind is able to understand what is going on in the world; what the Communists are really up to; what Satan's intentions are. Most unbelievers do not even believe in Satan and cannot understand his tactics.

              I won't be the first person to share this verse with you; but I will try to illustrate it thusly.



              You and your folks are in an unfamilar building. It has caught fire and the flames are spreading quickly. Your parents are confused about where to find the exits. You inform them that God has revealed the location of the only door out of the burning building. You parents look at you like you've grown an extra head because they are atheists.

              Now, what do you do? Do you stay put and burn to death with them because you want to honor their authority and not question their unbelief? Or do you leave them behind and get the HELL* out of the burning building?

                  That makes sense... but how would firefighters fit into the equation? They save people, but not by Jesus' door?
