    Crucifixes...

Do Protestant Christians wear crucifixes? You know...the crosses with Jesus on them, rather than just a plain cross. I'm completely confused if this is just a catholic thing, or if non-catholic Christians wear them as well...? Reason being is that I saw one gorgeous tiny silver crucifix for sale today. Being as I'm hardly Christian, much less Catholic, I didn't buy it, though. I'm not really one for advertising my faith if I were to be Christian, but I do feel a pull to buy the necklace...as in I really want to go back to the stand tomorrow and get it, if it's still there.

Perhaps this pull is Jesus Himself?

    Re: Crucifixes...

If the pull is indeed Jesus himself, you need to get down on your knees and repent for being a filthy sinner and ask Jesus to save you.

True Christians™ do not wear crucifixes with Jesus on them. The image of Jesus on Cathylick crucifixes is blasphemous!
The significance is that they believe that Jesus is still on the cross. Thus: he did not die for the sins of mankind and we are not redeemed by his blood. This image is also an idol that Cathylicks worship , instead of worshipping Jesus himself.
    Joshua 24:15
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

      Re: Crucifixes...

Jesus is gone, He has risen. Glory! Crucifixes are for cathylicks (they are still munching on his body and drinking his blood), and violate the Second Commandment.

In your case, it does not matter. You might as well nail a pet gerbil onto a cross and wear it.

When Jesus drop-kicks you into the lake of fire, the exact number of contradictions won't matter, now, will it?

Anyway, back to the OP: No, we don't wear crucifixes. The Bible says that God temporarily sacrificed Himself to Himself once and that it's finished:

John 19:30: When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Hebrews 10:10: By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once [for all].

We don't portray Jesus as still on the Cross because He isn't. Praise His holy name!

By contrast, the Roman cult, which looks for every opportunity to turn Scripture inside out, babbles on about the continuing sacrifice of the Mass and portrays Our Lord as on the Cross to this very day. Apparently, the fish heads want us to believe that the Almighty is powerless to do anything without the help of a dress-wearing kiddy-fiddler.

But at least it's silver. You do know what the Bible says about the wearing of gold by women, don't you?

For crying out loud friend, you talk like you're almost proud of that. An Irish catlick? You may as well tell me you work the back room in a queer bar.

Lying in a gutter, most likely.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

You can wear all the necklaces you like, you Godless Cannucki harlot. You can paint your ass red and try and convince Jesus that you're a baboon for all I care. You can't trick Christ. He sees through all of your diabolical schemes.

Very true. I think they are sick. Only Madonna wears them and that speaks volumes.

Or maybe she gave up the Catholic teachings now for some stupid cult that I can't spell.

I wonder if she still dreams of kissing a black Jesus. Sick!

Exactly which part of 1 Corinthians? Because all I found on Bible Gateway was that my hair should be long, which it fairly much is. Whatever the DOF is saying about my hair is clearly wrong.

                            Regarding gold:

I Timothy 2:9-10: In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

Regarding anything gold-colored, I think you should avoid it:

I Thess. 5:22: Abstain from all appearance of evil.

That should cover faux pearls and knockoffs of designer dresses as well.
