My parents divorced! Does this mean I'm going to hell?!

I don't get it, it wasn't my decision! Why am I punished because of my parents decisions!? Is there any way to fix this?!

If they divorced before you were born, then it is a problem. It doesn't guarantee you go to hell, but you aren't allowed to go to church.

It may seem unfair, but God often punishes people for the sins of their parents, grandparents, and other ancestors.

Exodus 20:5 I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation.

Jeremiah 32:18 Thou ... recompensest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them.
