I assume you are trying to say that you would prefer a darker color for an interview of this kind

The thing is just that the only dark dress I have is this and I think it will suit the hats that Lisa suggested quite bad
Will you be attending Mennonite funerals as part of your job?
Leviticus 13:44 He is a leprous man, he is UNCLEAN: the priest shall pronounce him utterly UNCLEAN; his plague is in his head.

2 Kings 6:25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass's head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver.

If I get the job I will of cause serve Mr. Kristoffersen at any event where my assistance would be needed, but I seriously doubt that a True Christian family would want a Mennonite funeral.
Do you think I should go for my blue dress instead, Mr. Landoverlover?

Michelle, think of it like this, will that black dress or the blue one for that matter hinder you in cooking, cleaning etc? Yes it will. Now just put on what I suggested.

          Okay Michelle, enough is enough.

I've tried to be diplomatic about your choice of clothes, but since you obviously still have doubts, I feel it is my duty as a True Christian Man™ to cut through the girly talk and say what you must wear once and for all.

Wear the dress Mr. Dewitt recommended for you.

The discussion is hereby over. See you tomorrow.
