A woman's rights and obligations -- advice needed!

I must beg you for advice because my sleep was troubled as I pondered a question posed by a True Christian™ in my introductory thread.

I was asked whether I could vote for Huckabee despite my living in Sweden.

According to secular law, as an American citizen (I may have robbed myself of my manhood, but I have not given up my citizenship!) -- yes, I can.

The trouble is this, as I know some here must see: it seems to me that the liberalism that led to 19th Amendment has led to more liberalism, swelling like a snowball of Satan as society rolls downhill.

Though it may be acceptable to hold the hand of her husband and go to the polls to vote as her husband does -- should an unmarried woman vote at all? Even for Huckabee?

    Sincerely,
    Magna, née Magnus

Yes, if you're doing it because a man told you who to vote for. That way you're just doing his bidding, and casting a vote is no different than sweeping the floor.
Disagree? By failing to register and debate me, you prove that liberals are factless frauds who only persuade through intimidation. To prove otherwise, debate me!

Re: A woman's rights and obligations -- advice needed!

Thank you so much for trying to put my petite mind at ease, Jeb!

Perhaps the unmarried women who visit this forum could be paired off with men like you, at least politically?

I am still a little bit nervous about acting as though I had the power to make a decision that is rightly the man's -- you're supporting Thompson, for instance; others here support Huckabee. What if two Christian men tell me to vote for two different candidates?

I can see myself entering a voting booth, alone, getting confused, and crying hysterically with nary a masculine shoulder nearby... and it just makes me shake.

      Gratefully,
      Magna, née Magnus

This is a great idea and deserves its own thread. I would be happy to pair up with someone who needs direction in the voting booth.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

I know I could use a good Christian man to take control over me, at least politically if nothing else.

            Maggie, what a wonderful idea!

Jeb, I still have no man to tell me for whom to vote. Maybe we could make a trade . . . I could give you some pie, and you could tell me which little lever to pull on?

It's all so confusing, and there are so many choices.

Okay, I order you to vote for Fred Thompson. I'll pass on the pie, I'm on a diet.

Edit: Oh, I misread that on the first go. Okay, I've eaten a lot of pie this week, but I'll take you up on your offer if you're willing to make butter tarts. Small, brown, round butter tarts. You know what I'm talking about? If you've never made them, I can teach you how, nice and slow.

Learning to make butter tarts seems intimidating at first, and it's a bit hard at first, but everyone I know says it's worth it.

Though cripled in the body I had trusted that you were trying to mend your soul.

Stop acting as a woman, GOD gave you a manly body and soul, you let satan disfigure your soul with homerisms and some euro-trash butchers cripple your body.

But you have reached LBC and you were on the path to mend what you could, don't dream about giving pies or that talk about tarts mess your head.

                  Vote as a TC must.

No Liebral talk, no fetus killers, no drug addled brains, no mercy on heathen terrorists, no hommer lovers, no tree-huggers (druids I guess), no crippling of AMERICA and its companies (true hands for THE LORD's work)

see_the_light -- yes, yes, yes, yes, YES! I thank you from the bottom of my struggling heart for the chastisement I so richly deserve. But -- I haven't a tallywacker between my long, thin legs any longer, and no one bakes me pies. Nor should they!

And then it begins -- again and again it begins, and again! Dreams of being led into a voting-booth by men who never entertained dreams of seeing their essential equipment removed. Men who knew what to do, always -- men who know what to do!

Never was I such! Pelted with dogmatic communist spitballs by my parents even in my (pink) swaddling clothes, I didn't even learn to fire a gun until adolescence. It was as though I bore a mark of Cain even in the better trailer parks of Westwego.

I would disembowel any druid nearing me (if only to ask the time) -- but what is the use, if I am so defiled? I want to take Christ into me.

And then it begins again! Yet again!

No, I can't find a recipe for butter tarts in my Joy of Christian Cooking cookbook. In fact, there are no "tart" recipes at all!

I'll be happy to make whatever you like, to thank you for your generous and patient instruction.
