  • Simple question

    Remember this verse
    Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

I have a simple question for you. This question will be proposed after I tell you a simple story. I had been a Christian for the first 13 years of my life. At the age of 13 I began to ask myself questions: Why were we here; How was God first originated; How can God prove himself to us here on Earth; Do we have an ultimate purpose? I continued to ask myself these questions for the next two years. I consulted with my Church's head pastor and then preceded to ask my family members the same questions I had posed to myself. None of these sources gave a justifiable answer to any of the aforementioned questions. At the age of 15 I had still not found reasonable answers to these questions and then decided that since I could not find logical answers, I would become an Agnostic. I have had that religious stance for the last 3 years and I have felt no real change in my emotional status, which by all means is positive. I have been raised in a Christian family for the entirety of my life, so I wish that you do not receive the wrong impression that I have not experienced any Christian ideals, because I have, and still am, been exposed to the Bible. I have read a good portion of the Bible, and have been able to understand what the scriptures mean. I have also been told for my whole life that God loves everyone, regardless of their behavior, religion, heritage, and moral standings. I now submit this passage:
    1 Timothy 1:15
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.
This passage tells of Jesus' love for everyone, not simply those who are devout to him. Though all Jesus/God love will not reach Heaven, they are loved by Him all the same. After this long-winded story, I propose this simple question: Do you all accept everyone as Jesus does?

    Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

    Re: Simple question

You pulled 3 quotes out of book that is big enough that, when dropped from a height of 10 feet onto a person's head, can kill them.

God weeps when you ignore 99.999999999999% of his word in favor of the 3 lines that probably accidentally were included while he was in an unseasonable good mood.

Then please indulge me with the other 99%. All I have seen on these forums to this point is quoting a select number of scriptures, as I have done, and telling all who read to follow them. And then on this occasion when I, a man with a legitimate question, follow the examples set by others I am criticized for this fact. Now that I have pointed out this obvious hypocrisy, please answer my question.

Of course I rememeber it. What about it?
It's about the fact that we who are Saved, were once sinners too.
        Now we're not. (1 John 3:6)
The verses says "God's love for US", Not "God's love for everyone."

Then you were never Saved to begin with.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
        John 10:27-29

I have had that religious stance for the last 3 years and I have felt no real change in my emotional status, which by all means is positive. I have been raised in a Christian family for the entirety of my life, so I wish that you do not receive the wrong impression that I have not experienced any Christian ideals, because I have, and still am, been exposed to the Bible. The unsaved cannot truly understand the scriptures.
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God:
For they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
        1 Corinthians 2:14

I have also been told for my whole life that God loves everyone, regardless of their behavior, religion, heritage, and moral standings. I now submit this passage:
        Then you've been told lies.
And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.
        Malachi 1:3

The foolish shall not stand in thy sight:
Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
        Psalm 5:5

        The LORD trieth the righteous:
But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
        Psalm 11:5

As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
        Romans 9:13

God loved Jacob, but HATED Esau. There it is in black and white -
God loves the believers and He hates the wicked.

        1 Timothy 1:15
Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst.
This passage tells of Jesus' love for everyone, not simply those who are devout to him.
Did you miss the part that says SAVE sinners? Save from what?
Hell, of course. The Hell HE HIMSELF created for sinners.
If God loves everyone, why doesn't the Bible say so? (Read the verses I posted.)
And if God loves everyone, why did He create Hell?

If God loves everyone, why does He let them die agonishing deaths of various diseases, starvation, and various other horrible deaths?
The answer is simple for those who aren't completely blind and try to replace the Word of God with fantasies of their own:
        God does not love everyone!

Though all Jesus/God love will not reach Heaven, they are loved by Him all the same.
That's unbiblical nonsense that I think I've debunked enough already..

After this long-winded story, I propose this simple question: Do you all accept everyone as Jesus does?
Jesus doesn't accept everyone, it's only you who keep on lying, or speaking in ignorance about God.
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
A foolish woman is clamorous: She is simple, and knoweth nothing.
        Proverbs 9:12-13
