Re: Why?
edit
i meant people used to believe the sun revolved around the earth. Excuse the typo.
Anyway my point was he was suggesting just because many people agree on one thing then that fact makes it true. That particular flaw in fallacy is known as argumentum ad populum.
anyway my point was that his argument was relatively weak.

Re: Why?
You are showing a great deal of disrespect and lack of faith in god, the Bible and all things godly. If we weren't such True Christians, we'd burn the hell out of you (and your broom) at the stake but, instead, we are going to prescribe that you go to Brother Pat Robertson's summer camp. He'll do a good job on your sole, will show you the Truth and you will never have any doubts again.

I thought it was you people who denied the holocaust. must be mistaken.
The proof of the holocaust is all the eye-witness accounts given by people imprisoned in the camps.
So you're a hypocrite. And very uneducated to boot.

So right you are about questioning Sister Magic. Praise!Originally posted by Magic tard View PostI believe what I believe though personal experience, through questioning authority. Clearly, your version of Christianity hasn't held up very well to my questions, and a good belief should be made stronger by questioning.
you're saying you believe the bible because it said it was written by god. How different am I from the bible? I'm claiming to be God too. I see no difference.
I respect if this is what you believe, but I'm questioning whether I want to believe it too.
So I have some questions for you.
How different you are from the bible? (KJV I mean)
And more important? Are you God? And if not what book did you wrote?

Re: Why?
As Brother Bobby-Joe noted, the monotheism of the Bible is an ancient, ancient belief system.
It was already old when the Israelites descended on the Amalekites and wiped them out in a genocidal fury. A couple of thousand years later the French massacred the Albigensian heretics, inspired by the same belief system.
Why do you think that the Christianity is mere superstition when it has literally changed the world?

I don't "lust" for other men.Originally posted by Sister Mary Maria View PostIf this was true, then queers would only be queer while they're actively participating in sodomy. But it's not true. There are many homers who are still fairies even if they haven't been physically involved in defying God and nature for years, or ever for that matter.
A great comparison for this is adultery. Can a person be an adulterer even if they've never been with someone else's spouse carnally?
Matthew 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
And those are the very words of Jesus, directly transcribed into the Bible! So you don't have to physically commit the sin to be guilty of it.
