Our kids may be going to the dogs, but for the most part a lot of them still have redeeming features, namely a good sense of humour and good old fashioned British resilience. You can say what you like about Britain but there is no denying its good points.

Our kids may be going to the dogs, but for the most part a lot of them still have redeeming features, namely a good sense of humour and good old fashioned British resilience. Taylor you have to be joking right?. Near to London. Go outside and take a walk. See hooded youths mouthing off at passers by. Smoking and drinking in parks and on street corners. And not just lads either. In the last month alone there have been at least two cases of murder. As for rudeness, English people are more ignorant. Go into a shop and ask a question, or even go to the checkout to pay for goods, some of these workers couldn't give a stuff, and it shows. Apart from Asda which is owned by Wallmart. They obviously are more particular about their staff. No I still think that the English are rude and arrogant.Mention that you love God and follow Jesus, you get laughed at. Maybe you live in a pretty part of the Country and don't have too much crime and unemployment in your area. And ofcourse there are some nice people around, but they are few and far between.

Yes, but for every "hooded youth", there are nice people too. Also, I have never known anyone to be laughed at for mentioning their religion- I find that it only happens to the people who stand in the street and try and force Christianity on random people. I also find that staff in Sainsbury's and Waitrose are nicer than ASDA haha.
As for my part of the country, you could be right. We have very low levels of unemployment here, and the most serious crime we've had recently was a burglary of an office last month, in which no-one was hurt and not much was taken. Like many of the rural areas of the country, most people in the communities know each other, help each other out and are generally very open and civil. I'm sorry that your area isn't the same.

Which part of England are you referring to? the part I live in is definitely not as you described it, and I do not agree that the English are more rude than any other part of the world.

God hates Britain because the head of their church is a woman.

The Bible makes it abundantly clear that Christ is the head of the Church.

And it has been common knowledge for ages that the British have the worst manners known to man. They are a rude people, through and through.

Even the Japanese abhor British manners, and the Japanese are known for having no manners at all.

For regular examples of well-mannered behavior, one must engage with the delightful denizens of New York. How else do you think all those millions of people manage to share such limited real estate without imploding if it were not for their genteel culture?

If your manners are an example of good British manners, then no these are not good manners. I am originally from Canada, the country that is known around the world for being polite. British are rude obnoxious people.

Not to me, they are known for being well-mannered, in fact, English manners are famed across the world. Americans are famed for starting wars without any grounds, and for not giving medical care to the poor. Oh and for selling it's soul and inspiring others to do the same through tv shows.

I notice you're from Yorkshire, I have family up there! Maybe the culture is different, but down here we don't go to the pub much, and a lot of them are aimed more at serving food than as places for heavy drinking.
